Heredis: Echoes of the Past is a live stage show associated with Assassin’s Creed, not a new video game—and Ubisoft says you do not need to know the games to enjoy it. If you are deciding whether to attend or want to try the games themselves, here is how the show and the series fit together.
What is Assassin’s Creed Heredis?
Heredis: Echoes of the Past is an original live production created by 7 Fingers Troupe in association with Assassin’s Creed. Ubisoft describes a blend of acrobatics, parkour, theatre, and history. Its story follows a young man travelling across history to find his lost father. Ubisoft called it “a new, wholly original live show with Assassin’s Creed” in an August 26, 2026 franchise article; no individual speaker is credited for that sentence. Read Ubisoft’s announcement.
The show is separate from the playable games. Ubisoft says prior knowledge of the franchise is not required to enjoy the production, so there is no game you need to complete as preparation.
When and where is the show scheduled?
Ubisoft’s August 26, 2026 announcement said the world premiere was planned for Théâtre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts in Montreal on December 3, 2026, with performances at Casino de Paris beginning January 21, 2027. These are announced plans, not a guarantee of current dates or availability. Check the official announcement and its ticket link for the latest performance information.

What is the Assassin’s Creed game series about?
Assassin’s Creed is a multi-game action-adventure franchise that moves among historical eras and protagonists. Ubisoft’s official guide describes more than 18 games and an overarching story that connects historical adventures with a modern-day thread. The balance varies: stealth, climbing, and parkour are important in many entries, while later games also make room for broad exploration and more open-ended combat. Ubisoft’s play-order guide outlines the games and their settings.
The 2007 original sets up the series through two linked stories: modern-day captive Desmond Miles and his ancestor Altaïr, whose adventure takes place during the Third Crusade in 1191. Altaïr’s story visits Damascus, Acre, and Jerusalem, with an emphasis on climbing, parkour, and assassinations.

| Choose by historical setting | Pick an entry whose period appeals to you, from Renaissance Italy to Ancient Egypt or ninth-century Baghdad. | A setting that interests you more than following the series from its beginning. |
| Choose by gameplay emphasis | Look for the balance you prefer between stealth and parkour or broader exploration and open-ended combat. | A play style that matters more to you than release sequence. |
These are ways to narrow your choice, not an official ranking. Ubisoft’s guide documents different settings and approaches but does not name one entry as the best first game for everyone.
