Its listed capabilities include animating still images, applying styles to existing videos, character animation and talking features, and upscaling images or video. DomoAI’s About page also says the company has grown to over 5 million users since launching in 2023. That is a company-published figure, not an independently audited user count.
How to animate a photo with DomoAI
Image-to-video is a straightforward first workflow: provide a still image, describe or select movement, generate a clip, and review the results. DomoAI’s image-to-video guide describes adding camera motion and subtle effects to still images.

- Choose an image. DomoAI’s help article says the workflow accepts JPEG and PNG files. Start with a clear image of the subject you want to animate.
- Open the image-to-video workflow and upload the image. The quick-start guide frames the process as “Upload Any Image, Add Motion.” See Image to Video and the Quick Start Guides.
- Choose a motion template or write an instruction. Be specific about what should move and how the camera should behave. For example, you could ask for a slow camera zoom or for the subject to turn their head.
- Generate and compare versions. DomoAI’s quick-start guide suggests trying multiple versions with different prompts. Review the results and adjust the motion description if needed; the output is not guaranteed to match a prompt exactly.
How to turn a video into anime or another style
Use video-to-video when you want to stylize footage you already have rather than animate a single still. DomoAI’s video-to-video help article describes selecting a style category and optionally uploading a reference image to guide the look.
The article says the source audio track is preserved during style transfer. Treat that as DomoAI’s documented behavior, not an independently verified guarantee for every file or workflow.

How to add voice to an animated character
DomoAI’s quick-start guide suggests saving a stylized video to your assets and then using the talking feature to add voice. This is a way to explore the character workflow after creating a visual clip. Check the current plan details before relying on a specific duration or entitlement, since these can change.
How to choose a DomoAI plan and generation mode
Plan value depends on how often you generate, how long you are willing to wait, which modes and duration features you need, and whether you need a team workspace. DomoAI’s pricing page distinguishes Fast mode, which uses credits for prioritized GPU access, from Relax mode, which does not use credits but may involve queues and slower processing.

DomoAI’s help-center pricing article, dated July 30, 2026, lists different prices and credit allowances: Basic at $9.99 monthly or $8.99 per month billed annually with 500 credits; Standard at $27.99 monthly or $19.99 per month billed annually with 1,500 credits; and Pro at $69.99 monthly or $49.99 per month billed annually with 4,000 credits. Compare the current plans using the factors that affect your workflow:
- Monthly volume: Estimate how many generations you expect to make and compare that with the included credits.
- Waiting time: Fast mode spends credits for prioritized GPU access; Relax mode can reduce credit use on supported plans but may take longer.
- Feature and duration needs: Check the live plan page for the modes, generation limits, and longer-duration capabilities you need.
- Collaboration: If several people need access, review Team’s current per-seat terms and workspace features.
What to check before using DomoAI for commercial work
Do not assume that a generated image or video is cleared for every commercial purpose, or that ownership terms are identical across plans. The current governing legal and commercial-use terms are not established by the product pages cited above. Read DomoAI’s live terms and any applicable plan conditions before using outputs in paid work.
