To move one note, open it in Google Keep on Android and tap Action > Send > Send via other apps, then choose an installed app. To move a larger collection, export your Keep data and import it into an app that explicitly supports Google Keep exports. Keep the export and check the results before relying on the new app as your only copy.
Choose the right transfer method

Send an individual note from Keep on Android
- Open Google Keep on your Android phone or tablet.
- Open the note you want to send.
- Tap Action in the bottom-right corner, then tap Send.
- Choose Send via other apps, then select the destination app. Google says the note’s contents are copied to the selected app, where you can edit them. Alternatively, choose Copy to Google Docs to create a Google Doc. Google Keep Help
- Open the destination and check the title, content, and any list structure or formatting you need.
This is a practical option for a small number of notes. Google documents sending note contents, not a complete transfer of features such as labels, collaborators, reminders, or all other note metadata. Check the result in the receiving app rather than assuming it will match Keep exactly.
Export a collection and import it into a compatible app
- Request an export of your Google Keep data through Google’s account export flow. Google says a Keep export can be used to preserve records or use data in another service. Google Takeout Help
- Download and keep the resulting archive. Before switching apps or deleting notes, open a sample of the exported notes and attachments to make sure the archive contains what you expect.
- Choose a destination and check its current import instructions for Google Keep data. The NotallyX project documentation lists Google Keep import support. NotallyX documentation
- Follow the destination app’s import instructions, then inspect representative notes and attachments in the new app.
- Retain the original export until you have verified the migration and are confident the new copy is usable.
What Google says a Keep export can include
Google lists note content, including text and list items, plus attachments such as voice recordings, drawings, and images. The export can also include note color, pinned and archived state, collaborators, and labels. Some data may not be available for download from work or school accounts. Google Takeout Help
These are export contents, not a promise that another app will recreate every property in the same way. Import support and fidelity depend on the receiving app.

Documented destination options
- NotallyX: Its project documentation lists Google Keep import. That is the project’s documented capability, not an independent compatibility test. NotallyX documentation
- Zoho Notebook: Zoho provides a Google Keep migration guide and states an upload limit of 500 MB. The guide does not state a year for that limit, so confirm the current instructions and limit before transferring a large archive. Zoho Notebook migration guide
Check the import before leaving Keep
After importing, review a representative sample rather than checking only that the app reports completion. Include different note types you actually use:
- Plain text notes and checklists
- Images, drawings, and audio attachments
- Labels, pinned notes, and archived notes
- Collaborators or other metadata that matter to your workflow
Compare the destination against the original Keep notes and the export archive. If something important is missing or altered, retain the archive and the Keep account copy while you decide whether the app’s import limitations are acceptable.

What not to assume about Google Workspace exports
Google’s Workspace guidance says its organization Data Export tool can export Keep data but cannot import that data back into Keep. This is a limitation of that organization export tool; it should not be treated as a general statement about every consumer export workflow. Google Workspace Help
