Start with LEGO’s official Replacement Parts service, then choose the route that matches the problem: a missing individual piece, a broken piece, a missing bag, or a part lost from an older set. Before submitting a request or buying a replacement, identify the set and the exact piece. LEGO’s options and eligibility can vary by country, product line, and current stock.
Choose the right route for the problem

These are distinct cases, not one universal replacement form. LEGO’s US support uses the labels “Missing Bricks,” “Broken Bricks,” and “Buy Bricks”; other country pages may use different wording.
Find the set number and piece number
- Find the set number. Check the box or building instructions. If you no longer have either, LEGO’s support index includes help for identifying set numbers.
- Open the instructions’ parts inventory. Find the element in the contents list and note its piece number, color, and quantity. LEGO’s support topics explain how to identify piece numbers and special pieces.
- Check the details before submitting. Make sure the part number and color match the piece shown in the inventory. If you cannot confidently identify it, contact LEGO support rather than guessing.
Having the set number, piece number, country, and a short description of the issue ready helps you choose the appropriate support route.
Request a replacement from LEGO
Open LEGO’s country-specific Replacement Parts page and select the option matching your situation. LEGO’s help index separates missing pieces, damaged pieces in new sets, missing bags, older-set replacements, and parts customers want to buy.

Do not assume that a replacement will be free in every country or for every situation. LEGO’s US customer-service page describes free broken-brick replacement requests, while regional pages present their own routes and terms. Check the live page for your location, especially for an ordinary lost piece or a retired set.
Buy the piece if a replacement request is not the right fit
Buying a piece is a separate option from requesting a replacement. LEGO’s US customer-service page points buyers to Pick a Brick; LEGO’s Canada page lists a distinct “Buy pieces” route. Search using the exact piece number and confirm color and availability before ordering.

If LEGO does not offer the exact part, a parts marketplace may be another option. Treat that as a purchase, not an official LEGO replacement: verify the seller, part identity, color, condition, and compatibility before paying. Stock can vary, particularly for older parts.
Check the LEGO Education route for Education sets
For LEGO Education sets, first see whether the relevant replacement pack for commonly lost elements covers the piece. For elements outside those packs, LEGO Education directs users to LEGO.com; its guidance also provides item-number and distributor information, including local distributors for users outside the US.

Contact LEGO support if you cannot identify or order the part
Use the customer-support route on your local LEGO service page if the online form does not fit the case, the part cannot be identified, or you need help confirming availability. Include the set number, piece number if known, your country, and a concise description of whether the piece was missing, damaged, or lost. LEGO lists replacement options, but does not describe this as a repair service; its Canada page says it does not provide repair services or maintenance and repair information.
