NVIDIA’s official schedule put the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti first, beginning April 16, 2025, with the RTX 5060 due in May. The “delayed” claim referred to unofficial expectations circulating beforehand—not a confirmed change from a publicly announced NVIDIA launch date.
What NVIDIA officially announced
In its April 15, 2025 announcement, NVIDIA said the desktop RTX 5060 family would begin launching on April 16, with the RTX 5060 Ti first. The RTX 5060 was slated to arrive in May. NVIDIA described the family as starting at $299; that was a launch-announcement starting price, not a guarantee of current retail pricing or availability. Where the “delayed” report came from
On March 22, 2025, Tom’s Hardware reported purported final specifications and a launch date for the RTX 5060 Ti, attributing the information to hardware leaker wxnod. The report itself said the information was not from official sources. It is evidence that an alleged date was circulating, not proof NVIDIA had announced that date. The available announcements do not establish an earlier official NVIDIA date for either card, nor do they confirm that NVIDIA formally delayed the models from a public commitment. They also do not establish why NVIDIA scheduled the Ti before the RTX 5060.

Did the cards launch in March, or miss CES 2025?
The official schedule answers the launch-date question: the RTX 5060 Ti family launch began April 16, 2025, and the RTX 5060 was slated for May. The March date belongs to an unofficial report about expected timing, not NVIDIA’s launch announcement. The sources do not establish an official March launch date or explain why the cards were not announced at CES 2025.
What NVIDIA said about the RTX 5060 family
NVIDIA’s launch materials identify the GPUs as part of its Blackwell generation and promote DLSS 4, ray tracing, neural rendering, and NVIDIA Reflex. Those are manufacturer descriptions of the family’s architecture and features; the launch announcement is not an independent benchmark or hands-on test. NVIDIA Vice President of GeForce Marketing Matt Wuebbling called the family “next-generation performance and AI-enhanced visuals starting at $299.”
