SecurityWeek’s 2022 Cloud Security Summit was scheduled as a virtual event for June 15, 2022, with Palo Alto Networks as presenting sponsor. Its planned program covered cloud, multi-cloud, and hybrid-cloud security, including identity, automation, cloud-native defenses, and cloud email security. The date has passed; the announcement’s free registration offer for business users was specific to that event, not a current offer.
What the summit covered
SecurityWeek described the summit as an opportunity for organizations to learn about tools, controls, and design models for securing cloud environments, and to interact with solution providers and other users. The event page named AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and other environments, alongside topics such as compliance, case studies, tools, and vendor evaluation. SecurityWeek’s June 14, 2022 announcement and its June 15 update describe the planned program; the registration page provides additional stated topic areas.
Planned agenda
The announcement listed sessions and a fireside chat addressing several aspects of enterprise cloud security. These were advertised agenda items; the announcements do not independently verify that every session took place as planned or validate product or technical claims made during the event.
- “IAM vs CIEM: How to Securely Enable Your Cloud”
- “How to Prepare Your Workforce to Better Respond to Emerging Threats”
- “Navigating the Cloud Native Security Landscape”
- “Build an Identity-First Security Strategy That’s Ready for Prime Time”
- “Intro to Automation for Cloud Security”
- “How Does the Cloud Drive Converged Identity Strategies?”
- “Application Level Risks and Countermeasures in Hybrid Cloud Environments”
- “Key Considerations for Choosing the Right Cloud Email Security Platform”
The notice also advertised a virtual expo and technical demonstrations. Taken together, the topics spanned identity and entitlement management, staff response, cloud-native security, automation, hybrid application risks, and email protection. They indicate the breadth of the event’s planned discussions, not a comparative assessment of the approaches or vendors.

Fireside chat and sponsors
The planned fireside chat featured Aanchal Gupta, whom SecurityWeek’s 2022 announcement identified as Corporate VP of Azure Security and M365 and head of Microsoft’s Security Response Center. SecurityWeek Editor-at-Large Ryan Naraine was named as interviewer. Those titles reflect the announcement at the time and should not be read as descriptions of either person’s current role.
Palo Alto Networks was the presenting sponsor. SecurityWeek also named Okta, Torq, Saviynt, Sonrai Security, Abnormal Security, Skillsoft, and LastPass as sponsors. The event materials show sponsor tiers but do not reliably map each of these companies to a specific tier. Sponsorship alone does not establish product effectiveness, an endorsement, or a basis for choosing one vendor over another.

Registration and current access
SecurityWeek said registration was free for business users, but that was a historical term for the June 15, 2022 event. The available announcements establish what the organizer planned and reported on the event day; they do not establish whether recordings or other materials can now be accessed. No comparative product results, implementation evidence, or prices are supplied in the event information.
