SECO has described additions across inspection, safety, speech, local AI and analytics; compatibility and performance should be checked for the specific app and hardware rather than assumed.
What is the SECO Application Hub?
The current marketplace is branded the Clea App Hub, powered by SECO. It is intended to help developers and industrial OEMs discover AI applications for edge devices, review technical information, compare supported hardware and find deployment resources.
SECO’s September 15, 2025 overview says users can search or filter by use case, industry or hardware, and may find details such as model type, framework, algorithms, supported devices, use cases and performance benchmarks. The company also describes software containers, sample applications and deployment guides. These are features of the offering as SECO presents it; not every listing is established to contain every field or resource.
The live marketplace displayed 42 items when accessed on October 4, 2026. That is a dated snapshot, not a guaranteed current catalog size. SECO’s July 9, 2025 launch announcement said the Hub launched with more than 150 AI/ML applications. The two figures refer to different dates, and the available sources do not explain the discrepancy; the launch-era number should not be read as the present listing count.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What kinds of AI applications does it include?
SECO’s announcements from 2025 describe a varied catalog. Examples illustrate the types of problems represented, not proof that a particular application is suitable for every production environment.
Inspection, vision and safety
Examples include PCB defect detection, efficient object detection, facial anti-spoofing, human fall detection, video action recognition and image super resolution. These can be relevant to inspection or safety workflows, but an OEM still needs to check the app’s operating assumptions, accuracy measures and supported device for its own conditions.

Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Speech and local interaction
SECO has listed speech-to-text applications, including Whisper and Wave2Vec examples, speaker identification using ECAPA-TDNN, and an offline Phi chatbot optimized with Intel OpenVINO. An October 2025 announcement also described a local mini agent that could query sensor values and control devices. Confirm what data an app processes, whether it works offline, and what interfaces or permissions it requires.
Analytics, training and specialized tasks
Other dated examples include wearable time-series classification, tunnel-boring-machine settlement prediction, land-cover change detection, on-device ResNet training and Face ID model training. This range spans inference, analytics and model training; the label “AI app” alone does not establish the workload, resource needs or readiness for a given deployment.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Applications involving face recognition, speaker identification or other biometric identification or surveillance require an organization to assess its own privacy, security and regulatory obligations. SECO’s cited announcements do not provide a legal analysis.
How to evaluate an app for an industrial edge deployment
Use the Hub as a discovery and comparison aid, then verify details that determine whether a specific app can operate reliably in the intended product.

- Match the task to the conditions. Define whether the goal is inspection, safety monitoring, transcription, local assistance or another use case, and document the environment in which the system must perform.
- Check the model and software details. Review the listing’s model type, framework, algorithms and data requirements where provided. Establish whether processing is local, whether connectivity is needed, and what software or model licensing terms apply; those terms are not established across the catalog by the cited sources.
- Verify the exact hardware combination. Check the selected app’s current compatibility information for the particular board, module, chipset and accelerator. A general statement that the ecosystem spans a silicon vendor does not establish compatibility for every device or app.
- Read benchmark conditions before comparing results. Ask which metric was measured and under what conditions. A benchmark is useful only if it reflects the deployment’s relevant constraints; the sources do not establish independent performance results or that figures across listings are directly comparable.
- Plan operational requirements. Evaluate power and thermal limits, connectivity, update processes, lifecycle expectations, monitoring, security and support responsibilities. These are deployment checks for the OEM to resolve, not requirements the cited Hub materials establish as covered automatically.
Which hardware platforms does SECO support?
SECO’s September 2025 overview described an approach spanning chipsets and SECO modules, with comparisons of model performance across hardware. At that time, the company named Intel, NXP and Qualcomm in its stack discussion and said MediaTek and AMD hardware would be added in the future. Later SECO announcements named Intel, Qualcomm, NXP, AMD, Rockchip and MediaTek in compatibility statements.
These are dated vendor statements about the ecosystem, not a complete or current per-app compatibility matrix. Before selecting hardware, confirm the exact supported configuration in the current listing or with SECO. The announcement materials do not name a specific retail edge-computer model that can be recommended as compatible with a particular Hub app.

How does Clea relate to app deployment?
SECO describes Clea as a cloud-based framework for remotely managing, updating and orchestrating IoT devices and edge AI. Its September 2025 overview said an App Hub deploy button could provide a personal 90-day trial of one Clea instance. That is a dated offer; current access conditions, pricing and regional availability were not verified. Confirm the terms that apply before relying on the trial for a project.
What the expansion announcements establish—and what they do not
SECO’s August, October and December 2025 releases document additions and examples spanning local conversational AI, speech, biometric security, industrial safety, vision, training and geospatial analysis. They establish the breadth of applications SECO has described, but do not independently demonstrate model performance, production outcomes or time saved in an OEM’s development process.
SECO’s Head of IoT and AI, Fausto Di Segni, said in the October 2, 2025 announcement that the company aims to “remove the barriers that typically slow down AI adoption at the edge.” This is SECO’s characterization of its approach, not an independently measured result. For a deployment decision, the app-specific technical details and exact hardware requirements matter more than the broad expansion claim.
