Both Adobe Connect and Zoom let people join and participate in meetings on Android, but neither mobile app is a full substitute for its desktop counterpart. Adobe Connect is strongest when a meeting uses interactive room content such as polls, Q&A, files, and whiteboards. Zoom provides familiar meeting controls on mobile, but some host tasks—including managing polls and breakout rooms—require the desktop app. Recording is another clear difference: Adobe Connect says its mobile app cannot record a session, while eligible Zoom hosts can record to the cloud.
What each Android app is designed to do
Adobe describes its Android app as a way to participate in meetings, webinars, and virtual classrooms. Its room-based approach centers on configurable content pods: the material and interactions available to you depend on how the host has set up the room and what role you have. Zoom’s mobile app focuses on common meeting participation controls, with toolbar options that vary according to your role, permissions, and host or administrator settings.
These are vendor-documented capabilities, not a comparative hands-on test. Neither documentation establishes which app has better call quality, battery life, data use, or latency.
What participants can do on Android
Adobe Connect: interact with the room
Adobe lists camera video in portrait or landscape, audio through the phone speaker, a headset, Bluetooth, or integrated telephony when available, and access to presentations, PDFs, images, live demonstrations with screen sharing, whiteboards and annotations, multimedia, and custom pods. Depending on the room and your permissions, you may also use chat, Q&A, polls, reactions, files, or quizzes. See Adobe’s mobile app feature guide and guide to meeting pods.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
The app offers two modes. Standard mode displays meeting pods along with audio and video; Commute mode hides the pods for audio-only use. That makes the room’s design important: a feature being supported by the app does not mean it will appear in every meeting.
Zoom: use meeting controls and join activities
Zoom’s Android meeting toolbar provides role- and permission-dependent controls such as mute or unmute, video, and chat, with additional options under More. Mobile users can participate in polls and join breakout rooms when those features are enabled. Host or administrator settings can disable features, so the exact controls shown in a particular meeting may differ. Zoom documents the mobile controls in its mobile meeting controls guide and summarizes platform availability in its platform comparison.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Hosting and administration: where mobile limits matter
Joining an activity and administering it are different capabilities. On Zoom, Android participants can answer polls, but hosts need the desktop app to create, edit, or manage polls. Participants can join breakout rooms from mobile, but mobile hosts cannot manage those rooms. Zoom’s mobile feature availability remains subject to account, meeting, host, and administrator settings. The specifics are in Zoom’s polling guide and breakout rooms guide.
Adobe Connect also separates participation from room administration. Its mobile feature list includes host access and role management, but not every room-authoring or host operation is available in every app generation. Adobe’s 2024 transition guide explains that the retired Classic mobile apps were replaced by the new mobile apps; it lists some Classic functions not carried forward, including changing layouts, editing notes, inviting others, and starting or ending a recording. These are transition-era details, not a complete current feature matrix. Adobe says rooms hosted on Connect 12.6 require the new mobile apps and recommends version 11.4.6 or later for licensed or managed deployments for the best experience. Check the Adobe mobile app upgrade guide against your deployment before relying on an older app.

Recording: Adobe Connect cannot record on mobile; Zoom cloud recording is conditional
Adobe explicitly says a session cannot be recorded in its mobile app. Zoom allows an eligible licensed host or co-host to start a cloud recording from Android or iOS when cloud recording is enabled and the account meets Zoom’s prerequisites. Zoom does not support local recording from a mobile device. Therefore, having the Zoom app alone does not guarantee that a host can record: eligibility and account settings matter. Details are in Zoom’s recording guide; Adobe’s mobile recording limitation is in its meeting pods documentation.
Joining and compatibility on Android
Adobe lists Android 10.0 or higher and Wi-Fi or standard 4G/5G connectivity as requirements. A guest can join using the host’s session link and a name; registered users sign in with their meeting or account credentials. A link does not guarantee open access: the host’s entry controls and any authentication requirements still apply. Consult Adobe’s mobile getting-started guide.

The Zoom sources used here do not establish a current minimum Android version, so there is no supported basis for declaring one app the compatibility winner by OS number. For either app, the phone, network, permissions, meeting configuration, and installed app version can affect the experience.

Choose Adobe Connect when the meeting depends on its configured room content and learning or event interactions, and confirm the app generation and room setup in advance. Choose Zoom when mobile attendees need a general set of meeting controls, while arranging desktop access for host tasks that mobile does not support. If you expect to lead the session from a phone, verify the specific host controls and recording eligibility before the meeting rather than assuming attendee features are available to hosts.

Practical setup and limitations
- Install the current app version for your service and deployment; Adobe Connect’s new mobile app is required for rooms hosted on Connect 12.6.
- Check microphone, camera, and audio-route permissions before joining. Adobe documents Bluetooth audio support and suggests trying wired headphones if Bluetooth audio quality is poor; a headset will not fix weak network conditions or app and room limitations.
- Join early enough to confirm that the host has enabled the needed activity and that your role permits it. This is especially important for polls, Q&A, breakout rooms, and recording.
- Use a stable Wi-Fi or cellular connection. Adobe states Wi-Fi or standard 4G/5G, but neither vendor source supplies comparative bandwidth, battery, latency, or video-quality benchmarks.
