Yes. You can host an Adobe Connect meeting from Android if you have host privileges, the room allows mobile access, and you use Adobe’s current mobile app. Android hosts can admit people from the waiting room and change attendee roles to host or presenter. Mobile hosting has limits: Adobe says sessions cannot be recorded in the app, and its documentation confirms viewing screen shares—not broadcasting your Android screen.
What you need before hosting from Android
- The current Adobe Connect app: Adobe says rooms upgraded to Connect 12.6 require the new mobile app; classic mobile apps were removed from app stores in 2024. For licensed or managed deployments, Adobe recommends Connect 11.4.6 or later for the best experience with the new app. Adobe’s mobile-app migration guidance explains the transition.
- A compatible Android device and connection: Adobe’s Android setup guide specifies Android 10.0 or later and Wi-Fi or standard 4G/5G. Adobe does not publish a phone-by-phone compatibility list. Check Adobe’s Android setup requirements.
- Host privileges and account access: Sign in with your organization’s Adobe Connect credentials; if your organization uses single sign-on, the app can redirect you to its SSO sign-in. You need host privileges to enter as host.
- Mobile access enabled for the room: The room must allow access through the new Android or iOS app. Room access rules and attendee permissions are configurable. See Adobe’s meeting-room setup instructions.
How to join a meeting as host
- Open the current Adobe Connect app and enter the meeting link.
- Sign in with your Adobe Connect credentials, completing your organization’s SSO flow if prompted.
- Join as host if your account has host privileges. If you enter as an attendee, you will not have host controls.
- Open the waiting-participant notifications to admit or deny everyone waiting, or handle participants individually.
Adobe’s Android guide documents host entry, waiting-room decisions, and changing a participant’s role within a meeting. Exact on-screen labels may vary with the app and Connect deployment version.
What Android hosts and presenters can do
Adobe documents these mobile meeting capabilities, though availability can depend on room configuration and deployment version:
- Use microphones and meeting audio, including supported Bluetooth audio devices.
- Use cameras, chat, attendee lists, and reactions.
- View uploaded PowerPoint or other meeting content and view another participant’s screen share.
- Use supported pods such as polls, notes, Q&A, files, and custom pods; breakout rooms have limited features in Adobe’s comparison.
- Answer questions in the Q&A pod and share files through the Files pod for attendees to download.
- Change attendee roles to host or presenter.
Adobe’s mobile-app feature comparison was last updated June 6, 2023, so treat it as a dated comparison rather than a promise that every feature appears in every account. Adobe’s newer mobile pod guide, last updated May 23, 2025, describes Q&A and file-sharing support.

Important limits: recording and screen sharing
You cannot record a session in the mobile app
Adobe’s current pod guidance is explicit: “You cannot record a session on the mobile app.” Do not plan to start or stop a recording from Android. Adobe’s October 4, 2024 migration guidance also lists initiating and ending a session recording among functions not carried over from the classic mobile apps.
Viewing a screen share is different from presenting your Android screen
Adobe’s comparison documents the Android app as able to view screen sharing. The reviewed documentation does not establish that an Android host can broadcast the phone or tablet’s own screen. If your presentation depends on sharing your device screen, use a desktop workflow rather than assuming the mobile app can do it.

Some classic-app controls are not available in the new app
Adobe’s migration guidance identifies other classic mobile functions that were not carried into the new app, including switching layouts, inviting people to a meeting, uploading documents into the Share pod from the library, and drawing or annotating on shared content. Host and presenter sign-in is also listed as limited-feature in Adobe’s comparison.

For a routine meeting where you need to manage attendance, speak, use supported pods, and promote a presenter, Android can be sufficient. Choose desktop if recording or broadcasting your device screen is part of the plan. Mobile controls and available pods can vary by room configuration and deployment version.

Audio options
A headset is optional. Adobe lists microphones, speakers, headsets, telephone audio where available, and Bluetooth devices as audio options; it does not require a particular headset model. A Bluetooth headset can be convenient for private or clearer audio, but check that it works with your Android device.
