In Nintendo UK’s Ninjala listing, Ninja-Gum is the basis for blowing bubbles at opponents, crafting weapons, and dashing through stages. The type of gum affects weapon appearance and variety, giving the game a weapon-and-mobility focus rather than an ink-territory loop.
The listing describes battle royale-style matches for up to eight players. Players earn points by defeating opponents, collecting items, and destroying drones; finishing moves called IPPON can add points. Ninjala also has 4-on-4 team battles, plus avatar customization with costumes and fashion-brand accessories.
Splatoon 3: Ink movement and changing objectives
Nintendo’s Splatoon 3 gameplay guide describes ink as both a weapon and a way to move. Characters can swim through their team’s ink, move quickly, climb inked walls, and refill their ink tank.

In Turf War, teams compete to cover more ground in their color. Anarchy Battle rules rotate among objectives such as Splat Zones, Tower Control, Rainmaker, and Clam Blitz. The point is not simply to rack up eliminations: teams must control space or complete the current objective.

What do you need to play multiplayer with friends?
For Splatoon 3, Nintendo Support says, “Split-screen multiplayer is not available.” Each player needs a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 system and their own copy of the game to play multiplayer. Online features require a Nintendo Account and a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership, according to Nintendo’s product listing.

- Choose Splatoon 3 if you want ink-based movement, territory control and rotating objectives, or a wider mix that includes co-op Salmon Run and a solo story.
- Check your setup before buying for a group. Splatoon 3 does not support split-screen, and multiplayer players need separate systems and copies. For Ninjala, the cited listing establishes a compatible controller per player but not a fuller local-play setup.
