Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO) says it pays dividends in March, June, September, and December. Its 2026 declarations set the quarterly dividend at $0.24 per share, but future payment dates and amounts depend on new board declarations. Tractor Supply does not currently offer a direct stock purchase plan; shareholders interested in automatic reinvestment should check with their brokerage. Reinvested dividends generally remain reportable as income for federal tax purposes.
When does Tractor Supply pay its dividend?
Tractor Supply’s Investor FAQs say the company pays dividends in March, June, September, and December. The FAQ also says the dividend program began on March 1, 2010. Those regular months are not a permanent calendar of exact future payment dates; check the company’s latest announcement for each declared dividend.
2026 declared payments
| Payment date | Record date | Quarterly dividend | Declaration |
|---|---|---|---|
| March 10, 2026 | February 24, 2026 | $0.24 per share | February 11, 2026 |
| June 9, 2026 | May 27, 2026 | $0.24 per share | May 14, 2026 |
The February release described the $0.24 quarterly dividend as an annualized rate of $0.96 per share. Annualized means four times that quarterly amount; it is not a guarantee that later dividends will be declared at the same level. The company’s board can change future amounts and dates.
A record date identifies the shareholders the company recognizes for a particular declared payment. The payment date is when that cash dividend is scheduled to be paid. For account-specific posting details, consult your brokerage records as well as the issuer’s announcement.

Can you buy TSCO shares directly from Tractor Supply or reinvest dividends through the company?
No direct stock purchase plan is currently offered by Tractor Supply. Its Investor FAQs says, “Tractor Supply Company does not currently have a direct purchase plan,” and directs people seeking to buy shares to contact a licensed stockbroker. The FAQ does not confirm an issuer-operated dividend reinvestment plan.
If you want dividends automatically used to buy more TSCO shares, ask your brokerage whether it supports reinvestment for the stock and review the account’s settings, fees, and transaction timing. Availability and terms depend on the broker and account; do not assume the service is free or enabled by default.

Cash dividend or reinvestment?
- Take cash: The dividend remains available for spending or other uses, subject to your account’s handling and applicable taxes.
- Reinvest: You acquire additional shares instead of keeping the dividend as cash, which can increase your share count. It does not guarantee investment returns or remove the risk of owning the stock.
- Check records: Keep brokerage statements and tax documents so you can track both the dividend and any shares acquired with it.
Are reinvested Tractor Supply dividends taxable?
Reinvestment generally does not make a dividend disappear from federal income reporting. The IRS’s Publication 550 (2025), Investment Income and Expenses says dividends used to buy stock at fair market value must still be reported as income.
