What MiMaMori Alert monitors
Yasashii Mimamori is intended for families who want to keep an eye on an older parent living separately. Its app displays detected activity and sleep/rest information from the home. If neither activity nor sleep/rest is detected for a set period, the service sends an alert to registered family members. The official pages do not state the precise interval, so families should ask the operator or their municipality how alert timing is configured.
This is a pattern-monitoring aid, not an intrusion alarm, medical device, or diagnosis. A notification means the expected signals were not detected; it does not establish why they were absent or prove that the person needs urgent help. It should not be treated as a substitute for emergency services or direct contact when someone may be in danger.
How the sensors and alerts work
The service uses its own three-sensor kit, including a device called 結プラグ (Yui Plug), which plugs into household outlets. The official description says the sensors make activity and sleep status visible in the family smartphone app. The service identifies the kit as proprietary; the reviewed information does not establish that generic motion sensors or other third-party devices can be substituted.

Setup and family access

Up to three family members can be registered. Registered members can view the graphs and receive alerts; the homepage says a separate charge applies for a fourth or later member. Check the family information page for the operator’s current explanation of access.
Availability and applying through a municipality
The service is not presented as universally available. The official homepage directs families to check whether the older adult’s municipality has adopted Yasashii Mimamori. If it has, families may apply, but the application process varies by municipality. Contact the municipality or operator for the current participation status, local steps, and any applicable terms.
