If you want a free way to follow Mexican stocks, start with Bolsapp, the BMV publisher’s Mexico-focused app. Apple’s Bolsa is another free option for watchlists and charts on Apple devices, but its listing does not promise coverage of every Mexican security. The BMV’s SiBolsa offers official market information and advertises a 15-day demo; its page does not confirm free long-term access.
Whichever tool you choose, search for the exact BMV or BIVA symbols you follow and check the quote timing before relying on it. A tracker’s general claim to cover stocks is not proof that it supports your particular Mexican listing.
Which free BolsaBuddy alternative should you try?
| Option | What its source describes | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Bolsapp | Free, Mexico-focused issuer information and tracking features from Grupo Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV). | Whether your specific symbol is listed and how current its prices are. |
| Apple Bolsa | Free watchlists, quotes and interactive charts across Apple devices. | Whether the Mexican securities you follow appear; the listing does not promise coverage of every one. |
| SiBolsa | BMV’s official real-time and historical market-information platform, with a 15-day demo advertised. | Current terms and cost after the demo; ongoing free use is not established. |
These are alternatives for monitoring information, not proven replacements for every feature BolsaBuddy may offer. The available product descriptions do not establish that any option executes trades, connects to a brokerage account, or supports every BMV and BIVA symbol.
Bolsapp: the clearest free Mexico-specific option
The official Google Play listing for Bolsapp describes a free digital tool for learning about the Mexican stock market. It identifies Grupo Bolsa Mexicana de Valores as the developer and reports an update on August 25, 2026.
#1 Best Overall
The listing groups its features into issuer information, brokerage houses, investment funds listed on the BMV, and BMV Digital educational materials. For issuers, it describes favorite-stock tracking, performance graphs, financial indicators, and information on local shares, FIBRAs, and ETFs. Those descriptions make Bolsapp the strongest documented free fit here for Mexico-focused market information, but they do not establish comprehensive ticker coverage or live quotes for every instrument.
Apple Bolsa: a general-purpose watchlist for Apple devices
Apple’s Mexico App Store listing for Bolsa marks the app as free. It describes watchlists for securities, indices, mutual and exchange-traded funds, and currencies; symbol quotes; interactive charts across different periods; and business news. The listing says it is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.
Rank #2
- Comes with secure packaging
- Easy to read text
- It can be a gift option
It is a reasonable candidate if you want a general watchlist and already use Apple devices. Search each Mexican ticker you care about before depending on the app: the listing does not specifically guarantee support for all Mexican securities.

The BMV’s SiBolsa product page describes an official platform for real-time and historical market and financial information. It lists local issuer information, historical closing data, charts, markets, news, portfolios, and issuer information for local and global (SIC) markets.
The page distinguishes a Basic profile for the local capital market from a Plus profile that also includes the Global Market (SIC), and advertises a 15-day demo. It directs users to contract the service, but does not state that access remains free after the demo. Treat SiBolsa as a trial or potentially paid option until you confirm its current terms.
How to check whether a tracker fits your portfolio
- Search your exact symbols. Look up the tickers you own or follow, including the relevant BMV or BIVA listing. Do not infer availability from broad claims about stock coverage.
- Check quote timing per symbol. Determine whether the displayed price is real-time, delayed, historical, or unavailable. SiBolsa advertises real-time and historical capabilities; the reviewed descriptions for the free apps do not provide comparable per-ticker timing details.
- Match the tool to the job. A watchlist or quote viewer is not the same as portfolio accounting or a brokerage account. Bolsapp’s listed features support tracking and market information, not proven trade execution.
- Test the analysis you need. If you want charts or indicators, compare Bolsapp’s described performance graphs and financial indicators with Apple Bolsa’s interactive charts. For a few prices, a simpler watchlist may be enough.
- Confirm platform and price. Check that the app works on your devices and that the particular features you need remain free. Apple lists Bolsa as free in Mexico; the BMV’s SiBolsa page advertises a demo but does not establish free ongoing use.
What about Yahoo Finance, Investing.com, and portfolio trackers?
In a r/MexicoFinanciero discussion about portfolio tracking, users mention Yahoo Finance, Investing.com, Google Sheets, Sharesight, and Snowball Analytics as parts of their workflows. Comments include reports of ticker or currency limitations with Yahoo Finance and Investing.com, and manual transaction entry in Sharesight. These are individual reports, not verified feature comparisons; use them as prompts to test symbol recognition, venue and currency handling, and whether transactions must be entered by hand.
Rank #4
The reviewed sources do not establish comparative coverage, accuracy, or adoption rates for these services. Google Play’s rounded “10K+ downloads” figure for Bolsapp is store metadata, not evidence of Mexican ticker coverage or tracking quality.
