UFC streaming rights and Fight Pass catalogs vary by territory, and some events may require access separate from a Fight Pass subscription. Then narrow down whether the problem affects one event, one app or device, casting, or your internet connection generally.
1. Confirm the event’s service and your access
UFC and Paramount+ are distinct services, and the right place to watch depends on the event and your location. Check the official UFC watch guidance and your local event listing before troubleshooting a device or router. UFC says content availability varies by country because of broadcast restrictions; a pay-per-view event may also require access separate from a Fight Pass subscription. See the UFC Fight Pass FAQ.
If the event is not included with the service or plan you are using, changing network settings will not grant access. Confirm that you are signed in to the account with the required event access.
2. Identify where playback fails
Before changing settings, note the scope of the problem. Try another supported device or service if available, and check whether other streaming services work. These comparisons help distinguish an event or app issue from a broader connection problem; they are diagnostic checks, not a guarantee of the cause.

- One event only: Recheck the event listing, local availability, and required access.
- One app or device: Check that the device and its operating system are currently supported, then update the app if an update is available.
- Only while casting: Follow the casting-specific steps below.
- Several services or devices: The connection or home Wi-Fi may be involved, so check the network before considering hardware changes.
- App crash or black screen: Use the support steps for your particular device rather than applying a procedure meant for another TV model.
3. Fix choppy playback while casting on Paramount+
For choppy, freezing, or skipping video while casting Paramount+ to Chromecast, Paramount+ recommends reconnecting both the source device and Chromecast to Wi-Fi and checking signal strength. Its casting troubleshooting instructions give this sequence:
- Disconnect both the device you are casting from and the Chromecast from Wi-Fi.
- Unplug the router, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in.
- Wait for the router to restart fully.
- Reconnect both the source device and Chromecast to Wi-Fi and try playback again.
- Check that the Wi-Fi signal is strong where the devices are being used.
If you have a compatible device and network connection, trying wired playback instead of Wi-Fi can help determine whether Wi-Fi is contributing to the problem. It will not resolve an account, event-access, unsupported-device, app, or service issue, and it is not a guaranteed fix.

4. Update the app and verify device support
Streaming apps are updated regularly, and Paramount+ notes that an outdated app can affect playback. Check the app store or device’s update settings for the latest available app version. Also verify that your exact device model and operating system are supported; compatibility should not be assumed just because a device is a smart TV or streaming stick.
UFC and Paramount+ publish device information for their services. UFC’s Paramount+ viewing page lists platform categories including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Android devices, Xbox, and various smart TVs. That general list does not establish support for every model or software version.

5. Handle an app crash or black screen on an LG TV
Paramount+ provides LG-specific steps for app problems; they are not universal instructions for every television. For an app crash or TV loading issue, its LG TV support article says to turn the TV off, unplug it for 30 seconds, reconnect power, and relaunch the app. It also describes checking for app and TV software updates.
If live-TV loading or a black screen persists on an LG TV, Paramount+ says support may need the device ID or IP address. Follow the provider’s current instructions for locating those details rather than sharing them publicly.

6. Contact the provider that controls the failed part
Before contacting support, record the event and your country, the local time the issue occurred, device model and operating system, app version, any error text or code, whether casting is involved, and whether other services work. This lets support distinguish access, platform, and connection symptoms without assuming they share a cause.
- UFC Fight Pass or UFC.TV: UFC’s FAQ lists support@ufc.tv for UFC.TV and Fight Pass issues.
- Paramount+ app or playback: Use the Paramount+ Support Center and select the issue category that matches your device or symptom.
Contact the provider responsible for the service or app that is failing; one provider may not be able to resolve another service’s app or event distribution problem.
