First check whether the problem also happens in PS5 menus or other PS VR2 experiences. If it does, troubleshoot the headset, Sense controllers, or Play Area through PlayStation’s system-level support. If it happens only in Into the Radius 2, record the exact symptom and contact the game’s official support: available official materials do not establish a title-specific PS5 tracking or boundary fix.
First identify where the problem occurs
Test the affected controller and headset in the PS5 interface or another PS VR2 experience. This comparison helps distinguish a system-wide fault from one limited to Into the Radius 2; it does not, by itself, prove the cause.
- It happens across PS VR2: use PlayStation’s troubleshooting categories for controller, headset movement tracking, tracking cameras, or Play Area, depending on the symptom: PS VR2 troubleshooting.
- It happens only in the game: note the symptom and report it to the game’s official support. The PlayStation Store and PlayStation Blog materials describe the PS5 edition and its features, but do not document a specific PS5 tracking or controller bug or a fix for one: PlayStation Store listing and PlayStation Blog announcement.
The PS5 edition requires PlayStation VR2 and PS VR2 Sense controllers. Do not apply Steam-PC instructions such as OpenXR setup or unsupported headset/controller guidance to the PS5 version; those apply to the PC build, not this console edition: Steam listing.
Fix an unresponsive Sense controller
Reset the controller using Sony’s procedure
- Turn off the PS5.
- Use a pin or similar tool to press the small reset button on the back of the controller. Sony notes that the tool is not included.
- Connect the controller to the PS5 with the supplied USB cable.
- Press the PS button.
This is a general PlayStation controller reset, not a confirmed Into the Radius 2-specific fix. If the controller still fails in PS5 menus or other VR experiences, follow Sony’s troubleshooting or repair options at PS VR2 troubleshooting; a reset cannot be assumed to repair damaged hardware.

If only one game action fails
If the controller works elsewhere but a button or action fails only in the game, record which controller is affected, the button or action, how often it happens, and whether it followed resuming the game from rest mode. Send those details to the game’s official support rather than treating a system reset as a verified game fix.
Separate headset tracking from controller tracking
Headset movement tracking and controller tracking are distinct fault categories. Note whether the headset view loses position, a controller’s position disappears, or the controller remains tracked but its input does not register. Then check whether the same symptom appears outside Into the Radius 2.

If headset tracking is unreliable across PS VR2, make sure the headset cameras have a clear view of the room and rerun the Play Area setup using the on-screen instructions. Sony’s manual says the cameras scan the room to establish the Play Area, but the official materials cited here do not establish a particular lighting threshold or a game-specific tracking calibration: PS VR2 setup and Play Area.
If tracking fails only in this game while other PS VR2 contexts work normally, document the circumstances and contact the game’s official support. The official materials cited here do not identify a title-specific PS5 tracking remedy.

Reset or adjust a Play Area boundary
A boundary warning near the configured edge is expected safety behavior. When you cross outside the Play Area, gameplay pauses and the view switches to see-through mode. That interruption does not automatically mean the game or tracking system is malfunctioning.
- Put on and connect the headset.
- On PS5, open Settings > Accessories > PlayStation VR2.
- Inspect or reset the Play Area setup and follow the on-screen scanning and safety instructions.
- Expand the configured area or exclude sections only where the physical space is genuinely clear and safe.
Sony says the room scan establishes the Play Area and lets users expand it or exclude parts of it. Do not enlarge the boundary beyond a safe space just to suppress a warning. The game listing identifies seated and standing play, but does not list roomscale play, so a larger roomscale boundary is not established as a requirement: PS VR2 setup and Play Area and PlayStation Store listing.

When to contact support
- Contact PlayStation support when tracking, controller response, or boundary behavior is also faulty in PS5 system contexts or other PS VR2 experiences.
- Contact the game’s official support when the fault is reproducible only in Into the Radius 2. Include the symptom, affected controller or headset behavior, steps that reproduce it, and whether it occurred after resuming from rest mode.
The PlayStation Blog announcement dated August 24, 2026, announced a PS VR2 launch date of September 24, 2026, while the US PlayStation Store listing shows October 8, 2026 and an “Announced” status. Those dates conflict, and the US listing’s date is after the announcement date; neither source establishes post-launch fault reports or fixes.
