This gives YouTube channel-specific recommendation feedback; it is not documented as a block that hides the channel everywhere.
Tell YouTube not to recommend a specific channel
- On YouTube Home or Watch Next, find a recommended Short, video, or post from the channel.
- Open the More menu (three dots) beside the item.
- Select Don’t recommend channel.
YouTube documents this control for recommendations on certain pages, including Home and Watch Next. It tunes recommendations on those surfaces; the official guidance does not promise that the channel will disappear from search, subscriptions, direct links, or every other part of YouTube. Choose a control that matches what you want to change

Reduce Shorts shelves across Home
- In the YouTube app, open Home.
- Scroll to a grid of Shorts.
- Open the three-dot More menu at the top of the grid.
- Tap Show fewer Shorts.
This option applies more broadly to Shorts shelves than the channel-specific feedback control. YouTube Help describes it as an app Home-feed control.
Undo recommendation feedback or adjust personalization
Clear “Not interested” feedback
To remove saved YouTube “Not interested” feedback, open My Activity, find the YouTube “Not interested” feedback, and delete it. YouTube says this feedback may be used to tune recommendations. YouTube Help.

Manage watch and search history
YouTube says watch and search history may influence recommendations. You can delete or turn off history for experiences that rely on it, but this changes broader personalization rather than blocking one channel. See YouTube Help: View or delete your YouTube search history.
What this setting does—and does not—mean
TeamYouTube’s June 25, 2026 announcement says: “To see less of a certain type of content, you can continue to use ‘Not interested’ and ‘Don’t recommend this channel’ behind the three-dot menu.” TeamYouTube announcement. The wording describes recommendation feedback, not a universal channel block. If the channel appears outside the recommendation surfaces where the control is documented, the cited guidance does not establish that this setting will remove it there.
