There is no single OBS video-source preset for a continuous Marathi devotional stream: choose the source according to whether you are using a live camera or capture card, a still image, or prerecorded video. Then set a supported output resolution and frame rate, verify any loop, and run a short test before broadcasting.

Choose the OBS source that matches your input

In OBS, the source is the thing providing the picture. Marathi language or devotional subject matter does not require a special source type or preset.

  • Live camera or capture card: Add a Video Capture Device source on supported systems. Linux uses the V4L2 source; Blackmagic devices have a separate source. Source availability and property names vary by operating system, device, and drivers.
  • Still image or graphic: Add an Image Source, then arrange and size it in the scene.
  • One prerecorded video: Add a Media Source and enable its Loop option if it should repeat.
  • Playlist: Add VLC Video. OBS documents Loop Playlist as on by default, and VLC must be installed for this source to be available.

For image and media sources, use OBS’s transform and crop controls to fit the scene. Test playback and visibility when changing scenes: a source’s behavior while hidden can affect what happens when it appears again.

Set resolution and frame rate without guessing

Open Settings → Video. Base (Canvas) Resolution is the workspace for arranging the scene; Output (Scaled) Resolution is the size sent to the stream. Choose an output mode supported by your source and computer, then check that the destination service accepts it. OBS’s overview gives 720p and 480p as output-resolution examples, not a prescribed setting for this stream.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Set Common FPS Value to match the frame rate you want to output. OBS’s 2021 overview gives 30 and 60 fps as examples and warns that 60-fps streaming can be much more taxing on a system than 30 fps. For a mostly static devotional visual, 30 fps is a reasonable starting point when conserving resources; it is a practical inference, not an official devotional-stream preset. More motion, hardware limits, and the destination’s accepted formats may change the right choice.

Configure a live camera or capture card

  1. In the scene’s Sources panel, add Video Capture Device and select the intended device. On Linux, select the V4L2 source; use the separate Blackmagic source for applicable hardware.
  2. Choose a resolution and frame rate the device actually supports. An unsupported mode can make the source show nothing.
  3. Inspect the properties available on your installation. Depending on platform and hardware, these can include video format, color space and range, buffering, and audio properties; do not assume every option appears on every device.
  4. Position, fit, or crop the source so the important visual is framed correctly. If the camera should stay initialized across scene changes, consider the hidden-source behavior: on the documented Windows properties, Deactivate when not showing is off by default. Turning it on frees resources while hidden but can cause a short delay when the source returns.

Configure a still image or a looping video

Still artwork

Add an Image Source and select the graphic. Fit or crop it in the scene, then confirm that it remains visible for the intended layout. No special resolution or frame rate is established for devotional artwork; choose output settings for the overall stream and your system.

Test the whole scene before broadcasting

OBS recommends running a test for a few minutes rather than going straight into a first stream. In that test, check the following:

  • The intended source is visible, correctly framed, and not blank.
  • The file repeats or playlist advances and loops as expected.
  • The audio comes from the intended device or media, and the OBS audio meters move when sound should be present.
  • The chosen output resolution and frame rate work on the real device and computer.
  • Any scene changes preserve the expected source and playback behavior.

A brief test can catch configuration errors, but it does not prove long-duration reliability. A continuous stream also depends on the computer, device, network, and destination service. If a camera or capture device is essential, check its driver and stability; for a stream that must continue through source interruption, keep a tested fallback scene or input ready.

Common problems and practical fixes

  • Camera source is blank: Confirm the correct device is selected and use a resolution/frame-rate combination it supports. Check driver and platform-specific source properties.
  • Video is cropped or poorly framed: Adjust the source transform, fit, and crop in the scene; canvas size controls layout, while output size controls the streamed resolution.
  • Media stops at the end: For a single file, check the Media Source Loop option. For a playlist, verify Loop Playlist in VLC Video and confirm VLC is installed.
  • Source pauses or returns slowly after a scene change: Review the source’s visibility/deactivation behavior. Deactivating a hidden camera can free resources but may introduce a short delay when it becomes visible again.
  • System struggles at the selected frame rate: Try a lower frame rate such as 30 fps and retest. OBS cautions that 60 fps can be substantially more demanding; actual performance depends on the hardware and content.
  • No audio is reaching the stream: Check that the intended audio source is selected and watch the meters during a test. A moving meter helps verify signal at OBS, though it does not by itself confirm what viewers receive.
