Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallUse Applitools Eyes Test Manager to find a visual test run, inspect each flagged checkpoint against its baseline, and decide whether to accept an intentional UI change or keep the existing baseline because the difference is a bug. Review the test and environment before making that decision: a baseline is associated with context such as the test, application, browser, operating system, and viewport.
What Eyes Test Manager is for
Eyes captures screenshots at checkpoints in a test and compares them with stored baseline images. Test execution and checkpoint capture happen in your test suite through an Eyes SDK; Test Manager is where you review results, report bugs, and manage baselines. A visual difference is a signal to investigate, not an automatic instruction to replace the baseline. Applitools’ Test Manager overview explains this workflow.
Find the run you need to review
- Run your visual test suite. Checkpoints should represent meaningful application states. For an initial run, Eyes establishes baseline images from the captured screens.
- Open the result link or Test Manager. Locate the run associated with the code change you are checking.
- Confirm the run context. The Test Manager home screen groups runs into batches. Applitools’ support walkthrough describes run details such as test name, result, date and execution time, browser or device, operating system, and viewport size. Interface labels may change; use the current run details to verify the relevant information.
Do not assume a result from a different test or environment is the comparison you intended. Applitools lists operating system, viewport size, browser, application name, and test name among the factors that identify a baseline. See Applitools’ baseline guidance.
Inspect a checkpoint and decide what to do
- Open the test result and select the checkpoint with a difference.
- Compare the checkpoint with its baseline. Identify the changed elements and consider whether the change was part of the intended code or design update.
- Accept only an intended change. Accepting and saving updates the baseline used for later runs.
- Reject a suspected defect. This keeps the existing expected image as the reference; report the issue through your team’s usual bug workflow when appropriate.
- Save reviewed baseline updates. Do this only after deciding the new appearance is correct.
For the first run, inspect the captured images as well: those images establish the initial expected references, so an incorrect first baseline can make later comparisons misleading. Applitools documents the accept-or-reject review flow in its overview and baseline article.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Use baseline variations for valid alternate screens
If a test step can legitimately produce more than one appearance—for example, because of an A/B experiment—baseline variations can hold multiple accepted references for comparison. Applitools documents a maximum of 20 variations for a test step. Use a variation only for a known valid alternative; it should not be a way to approve an unexplained difference. Read Applitools’ baseline-variations documentation.
Check match sensitivity when results are unexpected
Match level affects how Eyes evaluates checkpoint differences. The cited Applitools Visual AI settings page describes Strict as its default and recommended screenshot match level, checking visible content such as text, fonts, color, graphics, and element positions while aiming to ignore platform-dependent pixel differences. Actual options and behavior can depend on product configuration and context, so verify the match level used by your test rather than assuming it is the same everywhere. See the match-level guidance.

Troubleshoot a surprising difference
- The run seems unrelated: Confirm the application and test name, then check that the run corresponds to the code change under review.
- Many parts of the screen differ: Compare browser, operating system, and viewport with the baseline context before judging the image. A different environment can have a different expected reference.
- The difference is expected in one experiment variant: Decide whether that rendering is a known valid alternative. If so, consider a baseline variation instead of accepting an unexplained screen as the sole reference.
- You are unsure whether to accept: Do not update the baseline until the changed appearance is confirmed as intentional. Reject or leave it for investigation so a possible regression is not normalized.
- A result differs only in sensitivity: Check the match level configured for the test and consult the settings guidance for the applicable product context.
Or skip the browser setup
For a screenshot you need to capture directly, ScreenshotNeo is an alternative to browser-based setup: one GET request can return an image or PDF. It accepts cookie and consent banners before capture and removes 60+ known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks and CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents.
