To capture a webpage beyond the visible screen in Chrome, open Nimbus Screenshot and choose Entire page. When the capture opens in Nimbus’s editor, make any edits and click Done to continue to saving or sharing. Use Capture scroll fragment instead only when you want a scrollable panel inside a webpage, such as a chat window.
Capture the entire webpage
- Open the webpage you want to capture in Chrome.
- Open Nimbus Screenshot from its extension control, then choose Entire page. Nimbus’s help also lists the extension button, the page context menu, and configured hotkeys as capture entry points.
- Wait for Nimbus to finish. Its help material says the capture opens in the editor.
- Optionally crop or annotate the image, then click Done and choose a save or sharing option.
Nimbus also describes an action-after-capture setting that can be configured in advance to skip the editor. The exact current menu layout may differ: the available vendor walkthrough is older, and the current Chrome Web Store listing, extension version, and interface were not independently verified.
Choose the right scrolling mode
| Mode | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Entire page | The webpage as a whole, including content beyond the current viewport. |
| Capture scroll fragment | An internally scrolling object embedded in a webpage, such as a chat window or service panel. Nimbus says this option appears when it detects an internal scrollable object. |
For a whole webpage, choose Entire page, not Capture scroll fragment. See Nimbus’s capture-mode help and its explanation of scroll fragment mode.
Permissions and saving
Nimbus’s Chrome permissions help says website-data access is needed to take page screenshots and download access is used to save images locally. Troubleshooting
- You captured only the visible screen: Start another capture and select Entire page, rather than a visible-area or fragment option.
- You need the contents of a chat or panel: Use Capture scroll fragment if Nimbus detects the panel as internally scrollable.
- You cannot find a control described here: Nimbus’s vendor help and older walkthroughs document these labels and entry points, but the current extension interface was not independently confirmed. Check Nimbus’s current help guide for its published instructions.
- You need a local image file: After editing, click Done and choose a save option. Nimbus says download access is used for saving images to the computer.
