ScreenshotOne’s free plan lists 100 screenshots per month, but submitting URLs through its bulk endpoint does not turn them into one billable screenshot or bypass its request-start limit. For a batch, track both the monthly allowance and the one-minute request bucket; ScreenshotOne’s usage endpoint reports the key’s remaining starts and reset time. The figures below reflect ScreenshotOne’s pricing page as checked October 3, 2026, and can change.

What ScreenshotOne’s free tier includes

ScreenshotOne lists 100 screenshots per month on its Free plan. The allowance includes URL captures, HTML rendering and PDF rendering. Its pricing page says successful renders that are not served from cache count toward quota; failed screenshots do not, while a render that succeeds but has a visual issue may still count. A cache miss that triggers a rerender may use quota. Check the live ScreenshotOne pricing page for current entitlements before planning a batch; account history or negotiated limits may also affect a key.

What the bulk endpoint does—and does not do

ScreenshotOne’s bulk API wraps ordinary screenshot endpoints such as /take and accepts a list of request options. It can generate screenshot URLs without executing them immediately; setting execute: true asks it to execute before returning. Bulk submission reduces the work of coordinating calls from your client, but it does not make a list of URLs count as one screenshot or exempt starts from the same one-minute request bucket used by ordinary requests.

That distinction matters for two separate limits: the monthly quota counts eligible renders, while the request bucket governs how many requests can be started in its current one-minute window. A bulk wrapper is not a quota multiplier.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

How to pace a batch using usage data

  1. Request your account’s usage endpoint and inspect total, available, used and the concurrency object.
  2. Use concurrency.remaining to determine how many request starts remain in the current one-minute bucket. The field name can be misleading: the documentation defines these values as starts allowed in the bucket, not the number of renders actively running at once.
  3. Enqueue URLs and start no more than the reported remaining amount. When it reaches zero, wait until concurrency.reset, then read usage again before starting the next group.
  4. Retry failed requests with backoff rather than immediately resubmitting the whole batch. This avoids wasting request starts and helps keep the queue within the bucket.
  5. Track monthly available quota separately from request starts. The former tells you whether you have allowance left; the latter tells you how quickly you can initiate work.

ScreenshotOne’s batching guide recommends queueing and retrying around the usage endpoint’s remaining and reset values. Use the live endpoint for the actual capacity of your API key; plan-page figures are not a substitute for account-specific usage.

Choose based on both limits, not just the free allowance

Estimate how many successful, non-cached renders your URL list is likely to produce over a month, then compare that with the plan allowance. Separately estimate how many request starts you need to initiate in each minute. A batch can fit the monthly quota and still need multiple one-minute windows to start all its work. Include retries and cache behavior in the estimate; failed shots do not count under ScreenshotOne’s stated rule, but cache misses may rerender and consume quota.

Alternative to try first: ScreenshotNeo

For an alternative screenshot API, ScreenshotNeo is the first one to try here: cookie banners, popups and chat widgets are removed before capture, and only clean shots are billed. Its API supports bulk capture of 100 URLs per call, and its response headers identify page verdict and billing status. It also provides an MCP server for AI agents. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request details.

Example one-call request for a URL:

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

ScreenshotNeo does not bill bot checks/CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads or cache hits. Its free plan includes 1,000 shots per month with no card, and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Sign up free for 1,000 screenshots a month, with no card required.

Common batch-planning mistakes

  • Treating one bulk call as one screenshot: the endpoint wraps multiple screenshot requests; plan quota per eligible render and request starts according to the one-minute bucket.
  • Reading “concurrency” as active browser capacity: ScreenshotOne defines its usage fields as request starts in the bucket, not concurrent renders running now.
  • Assuming a fixed remaining allowance: limits and usage are key-specific and plans can change. Query usage and confirm current plan details rather than hard-coding the figures in a scheduler.
  • Retrying everything immediately: retry failures with backoff, and respect the reset time to avoid exhausting available starts.
  • Assuming a successful-looking but visually wrong shot is free: ScreenshotOne says failed screenshots do not count, but a visual issue can still count if the render succeeded.
