You can turn a playlist of Tamil podcast episodes into a continuous YouTube Live broadcast by sending the episodes through an encoder to a live broadcast created in YouTube Studio. First check that your channel is eligible and that you have permission to stream every episode and asset; then configure the playback source, test the handoffs, and plan how you will restore the stream if playback or delivery fails.
What you need before setting up the stream
- A YouTube channel that is verified and has no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance also sets a minimum age of 16. Check the current requirements in YouTube Help before preparing your launch.
- A playlist of finished Tamil podcast episodes and a playback method that can feed them in sequence to an encoder. The precise playlist controls vary by application; YouTube does not require one particular playlist app.
- An encoder that can send the program to the connection details shown for your broadcast in YouTube Studio.
- Rights to publicly stream each episode and its accompanying audio, artwork, guest recordings, and other materials.
Starting a live stream is subject to YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. YouTube may age-restrict or remove a stream that violates its rules. A private or unlisted test does not grant permission to broadcast material publicly.
Prepare the Tamil podcast playlist and clear its rights
Check every episode and asset
Review the complete playlist, not just the episode recordings. Confirm that the channel is authorized to broadcast the podcast audio, music, guest contributions, artwork, and any other video or background material in a continuous public stream. If an episode includes material licensed only for a different use or limited term, settle that before going live.
Arrange playback in the intended order
Set up the episodes in the order you want listeners to hear them, and decide what should happen when the final episode ends: restart the playlist, stop playback, or move to other authorized content. That behavior is controlled by your playback application, not by a universal YouTube playlist setting. Verify that the chosen application actually supports the sequence and repeat behavior you need.

Create a YouTube Live broadcast and connect an encoder
- Check channel eligibility. In YouTube Studio, confirm that live streaming is available for the channel. If the channel is not verified or has a restriction, resolve the eligibility issue before building the broadcast.
- Create or schedule the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, create a live broadcast and choose the encoder workflow. Scheduling lets you prepare the stream details ahead of time.
- Get the connection details from the control room. Use the stream settings shown for that specific broadcast. Keep the stream key private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your broadcast.
- Configure your playback source and encoder. Select the episode playlist as the program source, then enter the broadcast’s current connection settings in the encoder. Exact controls depend on the encoder and playback application; use their current documentation rather than assuming one universal setup sequence.
- Start the encoder and check the incoming feed. Confirm that YouTube receives the expected picture and sound, then start the broadcast from the control room when ready.
Google describes RTMPS as RTMP carried over an SSL connection. Use the protocol and connection settings presented for your broadcast rather than assuming that one ingestion option is best for every setup. See YouTube’s encoder-streaming guidance and Google’s RTMPS explanation.
Test episode transitions and continuity before launch
Run a private or unlisted test before announcing the public stream. Listen through episode boundaries, check that the visuals are appropriate throughout, and confirm that playback continues or repeats as intended. A brief opening test alone may miss silence, unexpected pauses, or a failed transition later in the playlist.

Plan monitoring and recovery for a continuous stream
A continuous live stream needs both a working playback source and a way to detect and address problems. With a local encoder, the computer, playback application, power, and internet connection must remain available. Decide who will notice a failure and what they will do to restart playback, reconnect the encoder, or end the broadcast cleanly.
If you operate parallel broadcasts, YouTube currently documents limits of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key; both limits apply at the same time. For a single ordinary stream, these concurrency limits are not usually the setup bottleneck. Check YouTube’s current streaming guidance for applicable limits.
