Install and configure the GrabzIt WordPress plugin
- Install the official Web Capture plugin. Find and install GrabzIt’s WordPress plugin using the installation method available to your WordPress site.
- Get a GrabzIt application key. Create or use a GrabzIt account, then copy its application key.
- Enter the key in WordPress. Open the GrabzIt plugin settings page in the WordPress administration area and enter the application key. The vendor’s instructions describe this settings step but the cited page does not establish a version-specific menu path.
- Authorize your website domain. In GrabzIt, authorize the domain used by your WordPress site. A mismatch between the authorized domain and the site making the request can prevent captures from working.
- Add a shortcode to a post or page. Put the target URL between the opening and closing
[grabzit]tags, as shown below. - Preview the result. Test on a representative page, including any page that relies on scripts, delayed content, or a long full-page capture.

Embed a website capture with a shortcode
Use the shortcode in the post or page content where you want the capture to appear:

The plugin page also shows noads="1" as an optional attribute. Treat each attribute as an integration-specific setting: check the current plugin instructions and package terms before relying on it. In particular, the plugin page says that width, height, browserheight, and target in its text-to-image example are available only on a paid package. That note applies to those documented example attributes; it should not be generalized to every plugin or API option.
Plan for full-page captures and rendering options
GrabzIt documents full-page capture and other rendering controls, but the exact parameter names and availability depend on whether you use the WordPress plugin, REST API, or a particular language library. Check the matching reference before copying an option from another interface.

- Capture size: Browser width and height affect the rendered viewport. GrabzIt’s API examples use a browser height of
-1for full-length capture; confirm the corresponding option name for your chosen integration. - Output format: The service documentation lists image, document, video, and data output formats. Choose a format appropriate to the destination, then verify that the selected capture type supports it.
- Timing and page behavior: A page that loads content through JavaScript, lazy loading, or delayed requests may need capture timing or other rendering controls. Test the actual target rather than assuming an immediate capture includes every element.
- Additional rendering controls: The REST documentation describes output sizing, capture duration, and other options. The Node.js technical documentation includes options such as country, export URL, ad/cookie controls, and a relative-resource address. Do not assume those names or settings are available unchanged in the WordPress shortcode.
Use the relevant documentation for the exact integration: REST API, Node.js technical documentation, and JavaScript API parameters.
Use the REST API safely
Do not put a GrabzIt REST application key in browser-side JavaScript or a public page. GrabzIt warns that a client-side REST request exposes the application key and points users to its JavaScript API for client-side use. For a WordPress integration that calls REST, make the request from trusted server-side code and keep credentials out of page source and public repositories. GrabzIt also describes IP authorization as a way to restrict which servers can access the API. See the vendor’s REST security guidance.

Check output, trial terms, and package fit
Before choosing an implementation, confirm that its output type, dimensions, and options fit your use case and package. The plugin documentation gives a specific paid-package restriction for several attributes; check the current documentation for other settings rather than inferring their plan requirements.

Verify current trial and plan terms directly with GrabzIt before using trial output in a production or customer-facing workflow. Troubleshoot common WordPress capture problems
