It would be inaccurate to say that she currently uses OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, or another encoder as a verified fact.
Why Streamlabs is associated with Pokimane
Historical reporting says Pokimane worked with Streamlabs on a $5 donation cap and used its service for alerts and tipping. The reporting also describes a later dispute over Streamlabs’ use of her images in marketing. This is context about alerts, donations, and a past business relationship—not confirmation of which application she uses to encode and send a stream today. StreamYard’s article on the question likewise cautions that those interactions do not establish her day-to-day encoder.
Encoder, alerts, and tipping are different things
A streaming encoder captures and arranges a broadcast, then sends it to a platform. Alerts and tipping tools handle on-screen notifications and viewer donations. A creator can use a service for alerts or tipping without using its desktop application as the encoder. That distinction is why historical Streamlabs use cannot settle the question of Pokimane’s current streaming software.
What the available software sources establish
OBS Studio
The OBS Project describes OBS as “open-source software developed by volunteer contributors around the world in their free time.” It is distributed under GPLv2 and free for anyone to use. Those facts describe OBS, not Pokimane’s setup. Read the OBS Project’s license information.

Twitch’s listed options
Twitch Creator Camp describes Twitch Studio as a free streaming app designed to help new streamers go live on Twitch. Its software guidance also lists Streamlabs OBS with guided setup and integrated alerts. These are general descriptions of available tools; Twitch does not identify either as Pokimane’s current choice. See Twitch Creator Camp’s software guidance.
Streamlabs Desktop
Streamlabs’ Twitch setup guide explains how to connect Streamlabs Desktop, configure a tip page and alerts, and adjust stream settings. It is a guide to the product’s functions, not evidence that Pokimane currently uses its encoder.
