Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Urlbox publishes a specific maximum-height claim; FireShot does not publish a comparable number in the official materials reviewed. Urlbox says its full-page capture can reach 100,000 pixels tall. That is a vendor claim, not an independently verified head-to-head result, and the evidence does not prove FireShot captures less. The comparison also crosses categories: Urlbox is a screenshot service and API, while FireShot is a Chrome extension.
What the comparison can—and cannot—tell you
If you need a documented numeric ceiling for a very long capture, Urlbox is the only one of the two with a published figure in the sources available: up to 100,000 pixels tall. FireShot advertises full-webpage capture, including long articles and documentation, but its official listing and manual do not state a maximum height. Without a controlled test on the same pages, you cannot conclude that Urlbox actually captures farther in every case or that FireShot has a lower limit.
There is also a workflow difference. FireShot is an extension for capturing pages from Chrome. Urlbox captures a URL or HTML through a service/API using render options; it is not simply another Chrome extension.
How Urlbox handles full-page captures
Stitch mode and native mode
Urlbox’s default full-page method, stitch, scrolls through a page, triggers animations and lazy-loaded elements, handles fixed and sticky elements, captures multiple sections, and combines them. Its native method is faster, but Urlbox says it can be less accurate on some sites. See the Urlbox screenshot documentation.

1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsUrlbox advertises a maximum capture height of 100,000 pixels on its full-page screenshot page. This is a published capability claim, not an independent benchmark. The documented default section height is 4096 pixels; that is the height of an individual stitched section, not the overall maximum. The render options also include max_height to cap total height and max_sections to limit the number of sections.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Long pages, infinite feeds, and output formats
- Lazy content: A scroll pass can prompt lazy-loaded content to appear. Urlbox documents
skip_scrollto disable that pass; doing so may reduce render time but can leave content unloaded. - Infinite scroll: Urlbox stops infinite-scroll capture by default to avoid an unbounded job. Its options include
allow_infinite; the screenshot guide says detected infinite-scroll pages default to a maximum of three sections. - Image dimensions: Urlbox documents dimension limits of 65,535 by 65,535 pixels for JPEG and 16,383 by 16,383 pixels for WebP. Its documentation recommends PNG for full-page captures because it does not state the same dimension limit for PNG.
- Credits: Urlbox says very long pages may consume more credits on its bulk-capture plans. Check its current bulk pricing for the applicable quota and cost.
What FireShot documents
FireShot’s Chrome Web Store listing promotes full-webpage capture for long articles, research, and documentation, with workflows for saving, editing, exporting, or sharing. Its manual describes a “Capture entire Page” mode that includes portions not visible without scrolling. Neither source provides a pixel ceiling or maximum section count.
The manual is dated 2016, so it supports only that basic description—not claims about FireShot’s current implementation limits. FireShot’s listing figures such as ratings or user counts are not evidence of maximum capture height. For FireShot Pro details, consult the vendor’s FireShot Pro page; the reviewed sources do not establish a verified price comparison with Urlbox.

How to choose for your workload
| Need | What the published information supports |
|---|---|
| A stated very-high page-height figure | Urlbox advertises up to 100,000 pixels tall; treat it as a vendor claim, not an independently tested guarantee. |
| A Chrome-based manual capture workflow | FireShot is the extension of the pair and advertises full-page capture, but its reviewed official sources state no maximum height. |
| Dynamic pages with lazy-loaded content or sticky elements | Urlbox documents a stitch mode designed to scroll, load content, and handle sticky elements; site-specific accuracy still depends on the page. |
| An endless feed | Urlbox stops infinite-scroll captures by default and documents controls to permit or limit them. A truly unbounded page has no natural final height. |
| Automated URL capture | Urlbox is an API/service. FireShot’s documented offering is a Chrome extension. |
For a decision based on actual reliability rather than published claims, capture the same representative pages with both tools. Include a static long article, a page with lazy-loaded images, one with sticky headers, and an infinite feed. Compare whether the final content appears, whether sections overlap or omit content, output readability, and completion time. This is a suggested evaluation method, not a reported test result.

ScreenshotNeo: an alternative to try first
If your goal is automated website screenshots rather than a Chrome extension specifically, try ScreenshotNeo, a screenshot API and MCP server. One GET request returns a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. It removes cookie/consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; those cleanup steps can be turned off. Only clean shots are billed: bot checks/CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status in headers. Its MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents and MCP clients.
Or skip the browser setup
Use the API call below to capture a URL. See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for parameters and response details.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
Cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed. An MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month, with no card required.
