BrowserStack Screenshots offers a broad, changing catalog of desktop browsers and real mobile devices. To confirm whether a specific phone, operating system, browser, and version can be captured together, check the live Screenshots inventory and selector: the available combinations are not identical across BrowserStack Screenshots, Live, and Automate.
What is in the BrowserStack Screenshots device list?
BrowserStack’s inventory page covers Windows and macOS desktop platforms, plus mobile and tablet combinations on Android and iOS. Its supported-browser area names Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Samsung Internet, and UC Browser. BrowserStack currently describes the catalog as “3000+ desktop browsers and real mobile devices”; this is the vendor’s marketing figure, not an independently audited count. Check BrowserStack’s current Screenshots inventory for the live options.
The listed rows include both recent and older device and operating-system examples. They are examples from a dynamic catalog, not a promise that every device supports every browser or version. Confirm the exact combination in the current selector before planning a test.
How to check whether a particular combination is available
- Open the live Screenshots inventory or selector. Search for the operating-system family and version you need.
- Check the exact device and OS pairing. A model’s presence does not establish that every OS version is available for it.
- Check the browser and browser version for that pairing. Do not assume a browser shown elsewhere in BrowserStack’s catalog is supported on the device you selected.
- Confirm the product context. Screenshots, Live, and Automate have distinct availability details; use the information for the product and workflow you intend to use.
- For automated capture, check plan access. The Screenshots API documentation says API access is available only on Automate plans that include browsers.
The inventory is dynamic, and the official pages do not state a publication date for their lists. Treat the live selector as the authority for a requested combination rather than relying on a saved or copied list.

How Screenshots differs from Live and Automate
BrowserStack’s mobile browser FAQ describes support differently by product. Its Live options include Android Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Samsung Browser on Samsung devices, and UC Browser on select devices; for iOS, it lists Safari and Chrome. For Automate, it lists Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS. These FAQ lists provide context for product differences, but they are not a substitute for checking the Screenshots selector.
Likewise, BrowserStack’s Selenium documentation describes browser and operating-system capabilities for Selenium/Automate. It should not be merged into the Screenshots device catalog. For current Selenium versions, BrowserStack points users to the dashboard or REST API.

Real devices, session limits, and capture settings
BrowserStack says Screenshots uses real mobile devices and that emulators have been deprecated for this product. The company also claims physical-device screenshots can be faster, often up to 50% faster than emulator captures; that is a vendor comparison, not an independent measurement.
A single Screenshots session can include up to 25 browser/device combinations, according to BrowserStack’s support material. The Screenshots product page also describes capture settings including desktop resolution, image quality, defer time, and mobile layout. Check the product’s current selector and documentation for the controls available to your account.

Automating captures with the Screenshots API
The API documentation describes fields for operating system, OS version, browser, browser version, device, and orientation. Availability depends on an Automate plan that includes browsers; do not assume API access comes with every Screenshots or Live subscription. Consult the BrowserStack Screenshots API documentation for the current request format and supported values.
Try ScreenshotNeo as an alternative
If your task is to capture a website rather than verify a specific BrowserStack device/browser combination, ScreenshotNeo is a screenshot API and MCP server for developers. A GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. It does not provide BrowserStack’s device catalog, so it is not a substitute when you specifically need a screenshot from one of those device/browser combinations.
