You can submit a CSV of website URLs to ScreenshotAPI through its dashboard or CSV upload API. Include a url column with complete https:// addresses, optionally add supported capture settings, then monitor the batch and download a processed CSV with each URL’s status and screenshot link. ScreenshotAPI says this CSV feature is available only on a paid tier.
Prepare a CSV with a URL column
Create a CSV whose header row contains url. Each row should contain a fully qualified website address beginning with https://; a bare domain or incomplete address can fail during processing.

- Custom headers: supply headers required by a page.

Use the column names and values documented by ScreenshotAPI, and check the current account’s terms if a particular combination is important to your workflow. ScreenshotAPI’s bulk documentation describes the CSV fields and submission process.

Choose dashboard upload or API upload

Upload through the dashboard
- Sign in to ScreenshotAPI and open its dashboard.
- Choose the CSV upload option and select your prepared file.
- Submit the batch, then use the dashboard’s progress view to see completed and pending URLs.
- When processing finishes, download the processed CSV from the dashboard or use the completion email’s download link.
Upload programmatically with Python
The CSV API accepts a multipart form-data POST request at https://api.screenshotapi.net/v1/bulk/csv?token={token}. The uploaded file field is named csv. Here is a minimal Python upload:

This code submits the file and prints the response; use the returned job identifier with the documented status endpoint to follow progress.

Monitor the batch and retrieve its results
For API submissions, query the CSV status endpoint using the token and job UUID returned for the upload. ScreenshotAPI documents status information such as percent complete, successful URLs, and failed URLs. For manual submissions, check the dashboard’s progress view.
When the batch is ready, download the processed CSV through the dashboard or the documented API download endpoint. ScreenshotAPI also says it sends an email with a download link when processing finishes. The example output includes url, status, screenshot, and error_message columns. Check failed rows and open a sample of screenshot links to verify the viewport and timing meet your needs.

Limits, billing, and timing to account for
- Plan access: ScreenshotAPI’s Help page says CSV bulk capture is available only on a paid tier. Confirm the current terms for your account before building a workflow around it.
- Request rate: ScreenshotAPI’s Help page, accessed in 2026, gives a rate range of 20–80 requests per minute depending on subscription. It does not identify this as a CSV rows-per-batch limit.
- CSV row cap: the CSV instructions do not state a maximum number of rows. The separate bulk documentation sets a maximum of 50 URLs at once for the JSON-based bulk API; do not assume that figure applies to CSV uploads.
- Completion time: processing depends on batch size and configuration complexity. ScreenshotAPI says large batches may take time but publishes no estimated completion time in the cited instructions.
- Retention: ScreenshotAPI’s Help page, accessed in 2026, describes stored screenshot images as kept for up to 30 days on the free tier and six months on the paid tier, depending on TTL. Since the same Help page says CSV bulk capture is paid-tier only, confirm the account’s current retention behavior before relying on those periods.
Troubleshooting common CSV failures

Does ScreenshotAPI publish a maximum number of rows for CSV uploads?
The CSV instructions do not state a row cap. The documented 50-URL maximum applies to the JSON-based bulk API, not an established CSV limit.
