Urlbox’s advertised monthly plans currently range from $19 for up to 2,000 renders to custom Enterprise pricing from $3,000 per month, but a render is not always the same as one API request. Request duration, file size, and certain options can consume extra renders. Use the plan table and accounting rules below to estimate usage before choosing a tier; all prices and limits are Urlbox-published terms checked October 3, 2026, and may change.

Urlbox plan prices and limits

Urlbox lists five plans. The prices, included render amounts, request rates, timeouts, and file-size limits below are from Urlbox’s pricing page, checked October 3, 2026. They are advertised commercial terms, not independently measured performance results. Prices exclude VAT at the prevailing rate.

Plan Advertised monthly price and allowance Request rate Listed timeout File-size limit
Lo-Fi $19/month; up to 2,000 renders 30 requests/minute 30 seconds 2.5 MB
Hi-Fi $49/month; up to 5,000 renders 60 requests/minute 90 seconds 10 MB
Ultra $99/month; up to 15,000 renders 250 requests/minute 300 seconds No limit listed
Business $498/month shown; pricing text says $495 base, then $3 per 1,000 renders; table lists 1,000+ successful renders 1,000 requests/minute 300 seconds No limit listed
Enterprise From $3,000/month; custom capture limits and features No limit listed No limit listed No limit listed

The same pricing page advertises a seven-day trial without a credit card for Lo-Fi, Hi-Fi, and Ultra, and a three-month trial on application for Business. Urlbox describes Business and Enterprise support, security, and SLA options, including advertised uptime SLAs of 99.95% and 99.99%, respectively. Enterprise pricing and limits are custom. Check Urlbox’s live pricing page for current terms before purchasing.

What Urlbox means by renders and credits

Urlbox’s pricing page primarily describes usage as “renders” and “Successful Renders Included.” It says failed requests are not charged and defines a successful render as one that results in an image being returned. The page also says service is not cut off at quota overrun: Urlbox automatically upgrades the account to the next tier, with volume pricing, and sends usage alerts at 80%, 90%, and 100% of the monthly quota.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Do not budget on a one-request-equals-one-render assumption. Urlbox’s pricing-page footnote says render consumption can increase according to the job:

  • One render is used for each 30-second period a request takes to render.
  • One render is used for each 5 MB of file size.
  • Certified Archive storage uses one additional render per year.
  • GPU acceleration uses twice the renders.
  • Advanced features may use additional renders.

These factors mean that a slow or large job, or a request using certain options, can consume more quota than a simple capture. The cited pricing page does not establish one universal per-request cost across all jobs and volume levels. Estimate from your own workload and monitor the usage shown in responses and your account.

How to estimate which plan fits

1. Estimate monthly render consumption

Start with the number of jobs you expect to complete, then account for render duration, file size, GPU acceleration, archive storage, and any advanced-feature multipliers that apply. Compare that estimate with the plan’s advertised allowance; request volume alone is not a reliable proxy for render consumption.

2. Check technical ceilings

Compare the listed requests-per-minute rate, timeout, and file-size cap against your peak traffic and the pages or documents you need to render. Ultra and Business list 300-second timeouts; the lower tiers list shorter limits. The pricing table lists no file-size limit for Ultra or Business, but that should not be read as evidence that every request size or workload is unlimited.

3. Decide whether operational terms matter

Urlbox positions Lo-Fi for lower-cost thumbnails and social images, Hi-Fi for general rendering, Ultra for more complex scenarios, Business for business-critical applications, and Enterprise for custom solutions. Those descriptions are vendor positioning rather than independent performance tests. If support, security requirements, an advertised SLA, dedicated infrastructure, or custom capture limits are important, confirm the precise terms with Urlbox before choosing.

API behavior that affects cost and operations

Urlbox’s API reference describes a render API that accepts either a publicly accessible url or supplied html. The synchronous endpoint is POST /v1/render/sync at the base API URL https://api.urlbox.com. The reference lists PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, SVG, MP4, WebM, and Markdown as output formats and describes project secret-key Bearer authentication. A synchronous response includes a temporary renderUrl that expires after 30 days. If a request is still running after 95 seconds, the endpoint returns a 307 redirect with a temporary continuation URL. See the Urlbox API Reference for request and response details.

REST API requests versus render links

Urlbox says REST API requests are not cached or deduplicated, so repeating the same API request generates another render. Render links, by contrast, can cache screenshots for 30 days by default, with a configurable TTL or a force option. Its pricing FAQ says cached screenshots requested from cache do not count against the monthly quota; first renders and REST API renders do count. These are distinct mechanisms, so do not assume a repeated REST API call receives the same quota treatment as a cached render link. Details: REST API vs Render Links.

ScreenshotNeo: an alternative to evaluate first

If you are comparing screenshot APIs rather than committed to Urlbox, consider ScreenshotNeo first: it removes cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture, bills only clean shots, and its paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. For Urlbox-specific allowances and behavior, use the Urlbox terms above; the products’ quota units and billing rules are not interchangeable.

One-call example

ScreenshotNeo accepts a URL in a GET request and returns a screenshot. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for its API details. This cURL example captures the supplied URL as WebP:

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

With ScreenshotNeo, cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed; an MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots; and 1,000 screenshots per month are free with no card, with paid plans starting at $5 for 3,000.
