You can use ScreenshotOne in Make.com either through a community-developed ScreenshotOne app or by sending a direct HTTPS request to ScreenshotOne’s API. ScreenshotOne says it does not yet have an official Make integration, and Make says it does not maintain or support the community app. Choose the community app for a visual setup, or use Make’s HTTP/API-call route when you need a request the app does not expose.

Choose an integration route

Route Useful when Important detail
ScreenshotOne community app in Make You want to assemble a workflow with ScreenshotOne modules in Make’s visual scenario editor. Make lists a community-developed app; Make does not maintain or support it. Check the app developer’s current terms and support channel. Make’s community-app guidance
Make HTTP/API request You need a custom request or an option not exposed in the app module. ScreenshotOne documents GET and POST requests and says to use HTTPS. ScreenshotOne Getting Started

ScreenshotOne’s guidance describes ways to render screenshots in Make but says there is no official Make integration yet. ScreenshotOne’s Make guidance and Make’s ScreenshotOne listing can be checked for the current app and integration status, which may change.

Set up the community ScreenshotOne app

  1. Create or sign in to a ScreenshotOne account and obtain an access key. The Make app documentation lists an account and access key as requirements.
  2. In Make, find/select the ScreenshotOne community app and create a connection using API-key authentication. Use the current ScreenshotOne account interface to locate the key; the available documentation does not establish a universal dashboard menu path.
  3. Add the module that matches your task. The Synergetic app listing describes a website screenshot, an animated or scrolling website screenshot, and a custom API call.
  4. Configure the module in the live Make interface, then map its returned image or file data into the next scenario module—for example, a storage or delivery step. Field names and mappings can differ by app version, so verify the actual output bundle rather than relying on a generic recipe.
  5. Run a test with a URL you are authorized to capture. Inspect the module output and confirm the next module receives the expected image or file before enabling the scenario.

For the app’s current requirements and listed actions, see Make’s ScreenshotOne app listing and Make’s community-app guidance. Make states that it does not maintain or support community apps; for app-specific problems, use the developer’s support channel.

Choose the capture type for your workflow

  • Static website screenshot: use for a point-in-time image of a page.
  • Animated or scrolling capture: use when the result needs to include content beyond a page’s initial viewport; check the module’s current settings for the exact behavior.
  • Custom API call: use when the module does not expose the endpoint or setting your workflow needs.

ScreenshotOne’s integration catalog also describes Make use cases for rendering HTML or Markdown as images, PDFs, scrolling screenshots, and videos. Those catalog descriptions do not establish that every output type appears as a dedicated action in every version of the community app. Confirm the action, inputs, and output handling in the live Make module. In Make, add the HTTP/API request step available in your scenario, configure it to make a GET request over HTTPS to https://api.screenshotone.com/take, and provide url and access_key as query parameters. Use the URL you want to capture in the url value and your real key in the credential field or secure connection facility where available. Do not publish a real access key in a shared scenario screenshot or exposed URL.

ScreenshotOne documents both GET and POST and explicitly recommends HTTPS. It says HTTP remains available for legacy integrations but that support will be disabled in the future, so do not start a new workflow over HTTP. The exact HTTP module labels, response mapping, and binary/file handling can vary; inspect the current Make module and its output bundle. ScreenshotOne Getting Started

Troubleshoot common setup problems

  • Authentication fails: confirm the connection uses the current ScreenshotOne access key and that the key is being sent as the documented access_key parameter or through the app’s API-key connection. Recreate the connection if you changed or replaced the key.
  • The scenario runs but the next module has no usable image: inspect the preceding module’s output bundle and map the actual returned image/file field. The documented sources do not establish one field name that applies to all app versions or HTTP configurations.
  • The page capture omits content below the fold: choose the app’s scrolling/animated capture action if available, or inspect ScreenshotOne’s current API options for the required capture behavior. Do not assume a static screenshot includes the whole page.
  • A desired setting or endpoint is missing from the app: use the custom API-call module or Make’s HTTP route, then follow ScreenshotOne’s current API documentation for the specific option.
  • You need help with the community app: Make does not maintain or support it. Check the app listing for its developer and current support route; for API behavior, consult ScreenshotOne’s documentation.

Or skip the browser setup

If you want a screenshot API without configuring the ScreenshotOne-in-Make community app, ScreenshotNeo accepts a URL in one GET request and returns an image or PDF. Cookie/consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets are removed before capture; those cleanup steps can be turned off. Bot checks/CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, with response headers identifying page verdict and billing status. ScreenshotNeo also provides an MCP server for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients.

For Make’s HTTP module, use a GET request with the URL-encoded target URL and your ScreenshotNeo access key. For example, the equivalent cURL request is:

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
