To stream recorded TNPSC lessons continuously on YouTube, prepare a verified channel, create a stream in YouTube Live Control Room, and send a playlist of your recordings through an encoder—or upload the lessons to a cloud streaming service. Before starting, confirm you have the rights to rebroadcast every recording and included asset. YouTube’s first-time live activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well ahead of launch.
What you need before starting
- A YouTube channel that is verified and has no live-streaming restrictions from the preceding 90 days. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.
- Recorded lessons you are authorized to rebroadcast, plus a stable internet connection if you use a local encoder.
- A way to play lessons in sequence: an encoder workflow on a computer or a cloud service that accepts uploaded video files.
- A plan for audio, stream monitoring, interruptions, and YouTube’s archive limits.
For TNPSC content, do not assume that buying or downloading a lesson gives you permission to rebroadcast it. Check the rights for the exact recordings and for any music, images, slides, or other material inside them.
Set up a YouTube live stream
- Enable live streaming for your channel in YouTube Studio and complete any required verification. Do this at least a day before the planned start because activation can take up to 24 hours.
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to open Live Control Room. Create a new stream or schedule it for a future time.
- In the stream’s encoder settings, copy the server URL and stream key. The key routes your encoder’s feed to the correct YouTube stream; treat it like a password. Do not post it publicly or include it in screenshots. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio before continuing.
- Choose the encoder’s YouTube integration if available. Otherwise, paste the server URL and stream key into the encoder’s custom server or RTMP/RTMPS fields. The exact playlist controls depend on the software; use its current documentation to queue and repeat your lesson files.
- Start the encoder and check the Live Control Room preview and stream health before making the broadcast public. Confirm picture, sound, lesson order, and that the correct scheduled stream is receiving the feed.
YouTube explains the stream creation and encoder connection workflow in its encoder guide. A YouTube stream key is sensitive: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
Choose video and audio settings
Match the encoder settings to the actual source files and the internet connection available at the streaming location. Higher resolution and frame rate require more sustained upload bandwidth; choosing a setting your connection cannot hold can cause buffering, dropped frames, or a broken broadcast.
#1 Best Overall
| Setting | Practical choice |
|---|---|
| Protocol | Use RTMPS where your encoder supports it; YouTube recommends RTMPS. |
| Video codec | YouTube lists H.264, H.265, or AV1 as supported options. Confirm that your encoder and chosen stream configuration support the codec you select. |
| Rate control | Use constant bitrate (CBR), which YouTube recommends for live encoding. |
| Frame rate | Use a frame rate supported by the source and encoder; YouTube’s guidance allows up to 60 fps. |
| Keyframe interval | Set two seconds as recommended; do not exceed four seconds. |
| Audio codec | YouTube lists AAC or MP3. |
| Resolution and bitrate | Choose a combination your upload connection can sustain, using YouTube’s current encoder settings and bitrate guidance rather than guessing a bitrate. |
YouTube transcodes incoming live video into different output formats for viewers. That does not remove the need to send a stable feed from your encoder.
Test the stream and keep it running
Before going public
- Run a private or unlisted test with a representative lesson, including its most demanding video motion and loudest or quietest audio.
- Check that Tamil speech is clear, the audio is not clipped or out of sync, and there is no unintended silence between queued files.
- Confirm the correct playlist order and whether the encoder repeats it as intended.
- Watch the Live Control Room preview and stream health indicators. YouTube recommends leaving 20% headroom above the bitrate in available upload bandwidth; do not plan to use all measured capacity for the stream. See YouTube’s streaming tips.
During the broadcast
Monitor the encoder, upload connection, video, and audio. A local setup depends on the computer remaining powered on, the encoder staying open, and the connection remaining stable. Prepare a recovery plan for a power cut, internet outage, encoder crash, or YouTube interruption—for example, who will restart the encoder and how they will verify that the stream has resumed.
Plan for the archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that one uninterrupted stream will produce an archive covering an indefinitely long broadcast. If you need a complete recording, plan separate sessions or make and retain your own recording, and check YouTube’s current guidance on live-stream archives.
Check copyright and rebroadcast rights
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may result in a warning, replacement with a placeholder image, interruption, or termination of the stream. YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams explains how these matches can affect a broadcast.

Before scheduling a 24/7 loop, verify permission for each lesson recording and every included asset. If a recording belongs to a coaching provider, teacher, publisher, or another channel, obtain permission that specifically covers continuous public rebroadcast on YouTube. YouTube notes that a channel using licensed third-party material may need to be added to the rights holder’s Content ID allowlist; permission alone may not prevent an automated interruption unless the rights holder has configured the allowlist appropriately. YouTube’s Terms of Service also require providers to have the necessary rights to the content they submit.
Run the stream yourself or use a cloud service?
| Approach | What stays running | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Computer and encoder at your location | Your computer, encoder, and internet connection must stay available for the broadcast. | Playlist looping, power and connectivity, restart procedure, stream monitoring, and archive plan. |
| Cloud continuous-streaming service | The service handles playback and delivery from its cloud after setup, rather than relying on your home computer to remain on. | Current pricing, storage and transfer limits, queue controls, restart and recovery behavior, terms, and whether the service supports your files and YouTube workflow. |
YouTube’s encoder directory names Gyre as a cloud-based tool for streaming prerecorded video. That listing is not a reliability assessment, endorsement, or statement of current pricing. Evaluate any provider’s current terms and features directly. Whichever method you choose, the channel still needs rebroadcast rights for the lessons.

Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping uploaded videos live on YouTube: upload your recordings or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer does not have to stay on at home. It streams videos as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; if YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo automatically attempts recovery. It is for YouTube streams of uploaded videos, not camera broadcasts.
The first day is free with no card, once per account. Each slot includes 10 GB of storage pooled across your active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, and StreamNeo team support. Plans offer the same product; only the billing period changes. Monthly is $9.99 per month. For Indian creators, UPI and cards are accepted; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support. You can review the service at StreamNeo pricing.

Quick Recap
Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot start a live stream | Live streaming is not enabled yet, verification is incomplete, or the channel has a current restriction. | Check channel eligibility and live-stream access in YouTube Studio. Enable the feature in advance; first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. |
| YouTube receives no encoder feed | Wrong server URL or stream key, the wrong stream selected, or encoder not started. | Compare the encoder destination with the current Live Control Room settings, confirm the key is for that stream, then restart the encoder. Replace the key if it may have been exposed. |
| Buffering, dropped frames, or unstable stream health | Upload capacity is insufficient or fluctuating, or encoder settings demand more bandwidth than available. | Reduce resolution, frame rate, or bitrate; test again and preserve the recommended 20% upload headroom. Check for other devices or applications using the connection. |
| Picture is fine but Tamil speech is missing or distorted | Incorrect audio source or codec, muted track, clipping, or an incompatible encoder setting. | Check the selected audio input and track, verify AAC or MP3 encoding, and test speech and lesson transitions in the preview before relaunching. |
| Stream is interrupted after a copyright match | A lesson or included asset matched third-party content, or a rights holder has not allowlisted the channel. | Review the match and contact the rights holder. Do not restart with the same material unless you have confirmed permission and resolved any required allowlisting. |
| The archived video does not cover the whole run | The broadcast exceeded YouTube’s stated automatic-archive duration for streams under 12 hours. | Break a long broadcast into planned sessions or retain a separate recording; do not rely on an indefinitely long single archive. |
