The right OneStream Live alternative depends on how you produce and distribute your stream. Shortlist Restream if you need broad destination routing, custom RTMP, and a relay-style workflow; consider StreamYard if you want a browser studio built around guests and branding. If you already produce in OBS, an external-encoder workflow may suit you. Compare the actual platforms, limits, and production features you need—not just the largest advertised destination count.
What OneStream Live does—and what to compare
OneStream Live combines live and prerecorded broadcasts, a browser studio, and input from external encoders. Its Help Center says the service supports more than 45 social destinations plus custom RTMP destinations, and describes scheduling prerecorded video up to 60 days ahead with playlists and looping. Those are vendor-published product claims, not independent test results. OneStream Live overview
Before switching, identify the part of OneStream you want to replace. A multistreaming tool can act as a cloud relay for a live production, provide a browser-based studio, schedule prerecorded broadcasts, or combine several of those jobs. These workflows are not interchangeable: a service with many destinations may not offer the guest experience or studio controls you want.
- Destination reach: Are your actual platforms supported directly, or will you need custom RTMP? How many can your plan send to at once?
- Production workflow: Do you need a browser studio, or are you producing in OBS or another encoder?
- People and presentation: Do you need guest invitations, screen sharing, on-screen branding, or multiple studio participants?
- Prerecorded programming: Do you need scheduling, playlists, looping, or continuous playback?
- Plan constraints: Check resolution, destination caps, storage, team seats, and the price for your intended billing period on the current plan page.
Best OneStream Live alternatives by workflow
1. Restream: shortlist for broad routing and custom RTMP
Restream says it supports 30+ channels, allows free multistreaming to two selected channels, accepts custom RTMP destinations, and works with third-party streaming software as well as its web studio. Its pricing FAQ also says it supports prerecorded live content. This makes it a practical candidate when you want to route one production to several destinations, including a service that supplies an RTMP URL and key. Restream pricing and FAQ

Restream’s FAQ says users do not need additional bandwidth when broadcasting to multiple destinations. Treat that as Restream’s description of its service, not an independent bandwidth measurement. Before choosing a plan, verify the destination cap, studio resolution, and any fees against your target channels; the cited FAQ does not establish every plan-specific limit in this comparison.
2. StreamYard: shortlist for browser production, guests, and branding
StreamYard’s vendor article describes a browser-based studio that uploads one stream for cloud distribution, with guest participation and browser branding. The article says the studio can include up to ten people and describes paid-plan multistreaming limits of three, eight, or up to ten destinations depending on tier. These are vendor-published figures from an article updated January 10, 2026; check StreamYard’s current plan information before relying on a limit. StreamYard article on multistreaming

3. OBS Studio plus a relay: shortlist for encoder control
If you already build your production in OBS Studio, you can keep OBS as the production tool and use a cloud service that accepts an encoder feed to distribute it. OneStream’s documentation lists OBS among accepted external encoders. StreamYard’s article says OBS has one output by default and requires a plugin or relay to multistream; the reviewed material does not establish the current status or compatibility of particular OBS plugins. OneStream Live overview · StreamYard article
This approach preserves desktop production control, but it adds setup: configure the encoder, confirm the relay accepts its feed, and map the relay’s destinations. If simplicity is the priority, compare that work with using a hosted studio or a service designed to accept one encoder output and distribute it.
4. StreamNeo: for YouTube-only 24/7 playback of uploaded videos
StreamNeo is not a general multistreaming replacement for sending a live production to multiple social networks. It is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping a channel live from uploaded videos. It belongs on the shortlist only if your goal is continuous prerecorded YouTube playback rather than simultaneous distribution of a live show: it runs always on from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.

Choose by the job you need done
Pick Restream if routing is the main problem
Start with Restream if your priority is sending one production to a range of services, including custom RTMP endpoints, and you are comfortable checking plan-specific caps and studio limits. Confirm that the channels you actually use are supported and that your chosen plan covers the number of simultaneous destinations you need.
Pick StreamYard if the show is built around people
Start with StreamYard if you want to produce in a browser, invite guests, and use built-in branding. Confirm the current destination limit for the plan and whether its studio workflow covers your production needs.
Keep OBS in the chain if production control matters
Keep OBS as your encoder if your scenes and production workflow are already built there. Then select a compatible relay for distribution and account for the extra configuration. Do not assume a particular plugin is supported or current without checking its own documentation.

Keep OneStream Live in contention if you need its combined workflow
If you rely on scheduled prerecorded broadcasts, looping playlists, live sessions, and encoder input in one service, compare whether an alternative covers all of those jobs before switching. The replacement may solve one pain point while requiring another tool for a workflow OneStream currently handles.
Or let it run in the cloud
For continuous prerecorded playback on YouTube, StreamNeo keeps the stream running in the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Upload a video or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your upload streams as made, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot; there are no quality tiers. If YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo automatically recovers. The first day is free with no card, and Monthly is $9.99 per month.
