Yes—Holstin is planned for Nintendo Switch, according to publisher Team17, but no Switch release date has been announced. Team17’s game page also does not say whether the planned version is for the original Switch, Switch 2, or both. The 2027 release announcement applies to Steam, not Switch.
What is Holstin about?
Holstin is a psychological survival horror game developed by Sonka and published by Team17. Set in late November 1992, it follows a search for a missing friend, Bartek, in the isolated town of Jeziorne-Kolonia in eastern Poland. The player tries to find out what happened to him and why he may not have escaped.

A foul presence is consuming the town: people, buildings, wildlife, and streets are deteriorating or covered in slime. Team17 describes the game as a mix of exploration, scavenging for scarce supplies and weapons, combat against monstrosities, and conversations with locals. Their increasingly delusional state is tied to some of the game’s questions and puzzles.

Is Holstin coming to Nintendo Switch?
Team17 lists Nintendo Switch among Holstin’s planned platforms and labels the game “Coming soon” on its official game page. That confirms a planned Switch release, but the page gives neither a date nor a supported Switch hardware generation. It does not clarify whether the listing covers the original Switch, Switch 2, or both.
When does Holstin come out on Switch?
There is no announced Switch release date. An official Holstin Steam community announcement dated August 27, 2026 says the game will release in 2027, but that announcement is specifically about Steam. It is not confirmation of a 2027 Switch launch.

Team17’s December 8, 2025 publishing announcement quotes game director Rafał Sankowski describing plans to refine gameplay, secure higher-quality voice acting, and add Polish Easter eggs. Those remarks explain the development partnership; they do not set a release date or establish Switch-specific features.

No Switch demo is established by the available official listings. The Steam listing describes a free, single-player demo released September 1, 2023, covering the first two hours of the game. That is a Steam demo, not confirmation of a Switch version.

What content should players expect?
Steam’s mature-content description warns of frequent violence and gore, as well as general mature content. This is the store’s content warning; it is not a confirmed rating for a Switch release.
