Quick Boys said it never applied and had no connection to the websites selling tickets. The KSA warned people not to use those sites or submit personal or banking details.
Why was the Quick Boys lottery licence revoked?
In a warning reported on 2 October 2026, the KSA said an unknown person posed as Quick Boys’ chairman during a licence application. The licence was registered to the Katwijk club, but Quick Boys said it had not applied for it and was not involved in the ticket-selling websites. The regulator described the club as a victim of the apparent identity fraud.
The KSA said the licence was used to sell lottery tickets on eight websites:
- loterij.quickboys.nl
- loterijenqb.com
- besteloterijqb.com
- nieuweqb.com
- bestenl.com
- topnetherlands.com
- newloterij.com
- topsloterij.com
The KSA said it filed a police report. Public reporting does not establish when the licence was granted or revoked, how long the sites operated, or how many tickets or payments were involved. The regulator reportedly declined further comment while the investigation was ongoing.

Was the Quick Boys lottery website real?
The licence was in Quick Boys’ name, but that does not mean the club operated or endorsed the sites. The KSA said the club had no connection to them and warned consumers not to enter information on the listed domains. It said it could not know how information submitted there might be used and warned of possible phishing or identity fraud.
The KSA director of licensing, Ella Seijsener, said: “Consumers must be able to trust a licence from the KSA.” The quote was reproduced in English by the reporting.

If you paid for tickets
The KSA’s reported advice was to contact your bank and ask whether the payment can be reversed. It also advised reporting the matter to police, the Netherlands’ Fraud Helpdesk (Fraudehelpdesk), and the KSA. The regulator said reports would help it understand the scale of the incident; no public total of buyers or losses has been established.
If you submitted personal or bank information
Do not provide further information or money in response to unexpected messages or calls claiming to relate to the lottery. Be alert for suspicious emails, texts, calls, payment requests, or requests for additional details. The KSA specifically warned that information submitted on the sites could be misused for phishing or identity fraud.

What did the KSA change after the incident?
The regulator said it immediately tightened checks on applicant identities and on domain names entered into its public register of licensed operators, the Kansspelwijzer. It also characterized imitation websites of legal lotteries as an increasing problem and said additional checks had stopped a similar attempted misuse. The KSA did not provide a quantified measure of that broader trend.
What is not yet known
The public reporting does not identify the precise licence category, the dates it was issued or revoked, how many people used the sites, or the amount of money collected. It also does not say whether these domains appeared in the Kansspelwijzer before the checks were tightened. Those unknowns mean the incident’s total impact cannot be estimated from the available information.

- Let's face it you don't want to give someone a winning scratch off ticket that shows they won a million dollars on it, you would probably lose friends and family if you did that. We heard your complaints and made our winning amounts 10k and 50k. That allows you to choose between the good, the bad, but not the ugly.
- Includes a total of 8 tickets. You will get 4 of the "Big Time Millions" design, and 4 of the "Jackpot Jubilee" design. The "Big time Millions" is a guaranteed $50,000 winner, the "Jackpot Jubilee" is a guaranteed $10,000 winner. In addition to those winning amounts, each ticket also wins an additional $30 for the top game.
- Each ticket measures 8 x 4 inches and includes 2 separate games per ticket. The back is very realistic but also has plenty of info telling them it's fake after they read the fine print, it's hidden enough to fool just about anyone. We didn't just phone in the back text either, the back alone is a crack up.
- Printed using HRP Technology (Hyper Realistic Printing). Some other tickets look ok on the front but once you see the back you can see how fake they look. Compare the front and especially the back of ours to anybody else's, you can see we went that extra mile on our design for both sides. Includes barcodes and scan codes just like the real thing. For the final touch we also added perforation on the top and bottom for that real lottery ticket feel
- Makes a great gift idea. Great for parties, social gathering, work / office parties, holidays, birthdays and any other special occasion. Also great for when you are just hanging out with friends.
How Dutch lottery licences work
The reporting relayed general KSA licensing details, but these figures were not independently confirmed against current official guidance. It described one-off KSA licences as applying to lotteries with total prizes of €4,500 or more, with smaller lotteries handled by municipalities. It also reported a six-month duration, a maximum of 13 draws, online ticket sales, a requirement that at least 40% of proceeds go to the stated cause, and a €600 fee for a prize fund up to €50,000. These general parameters do not establish which licence category was involved in the Quick Boys case.
