That omission does not prove the older Android app is unavailable, so check with COMSOL or its official app listing before relying on it.
What you can run on an Android device
Android access is for apps built with COMSOL’s Application Builder and hosted on a reachable COMSOL Server. It is not the same as installing the full COMSOL Multiphysics desktop application on a phone. The Server deployment must be running, and you need an account authorized to sign in. COMSOL describes Server as the environment for hosting, managing, and running these applications; see its license options.
COMSOL’s 6.4 documentation says applications can be run by connecting to COMSOL Server in a web browser or with COMSOL Client for Windows. It documents interactive 1D, 2D, and 3D graphics in the browser, with 3D rendering based on WebGL. How well an app works on a phone depends on its design, browser, device performance, screen size, and controls. See COMSOL 6.4: Running Applications with COMSOL Server.
How to connect from Android
- Ask your organization or COMSOL Server administrator for the Server web address, your username and password, and confirmation that your account can access the app.
- On the Android device, open a current browser and navigate to the Server address. COMSOL’s 6.4 application-running instructions describe connecting through the Server web interface in a browser.
- Sign in with your Server credentials, then open the application you are authorized to use.
- Try the app’s controls and graphics before relying on it for detailed work. If a control is difficult to use on a small screen or a feature does not behave as expected, try a larger tablet or use the Windows Client if the app requires it.
COMSOL’s 6.4 Update 3 system requirements page lists Android Browser 37 or later and Chrome 40 or later. These are the minimum figures printed for that particular COMSOL version, not recommendations to install old browser releases; COMSOL recommends current popular browsers for the best experience.

Android browser versus COMSOL Client

COMSOL’s current Client download page describes a Windows utility, not an Android client. COMSOL notes that some applications—such as those relying on LiveLink for CAD—may need the Windows Client. Check the requirements of the specific app rather than assuming every hosted app can be used from Android.
Is COMSOL Client for Android still available?
COMSOL’s 6.2 system requirements page explicitly named COMSOL Client for Android as an access option. That is historical evidence, not confirmation of support or compatibility with current releases. Current 6.4 materials list Android browser support and describe the Windows Client, but do not settle whether an older Android app remains downloadable or which Android versions it supports. Check COMSOL or the current official app listing for availability and compatibility before installing or planning around it. If the app does not work well on your phone
- You cannot reach the Server: Confirm the address, network access, and account permissions with your administrator.
- You can sign in but cannot find the app: Ask the Server administrator to check whether the app is deployed and available to your account.
- Graphics or controls are difficult to use: Try a current browser and a larger screen. Mobile usability depends partly on how the Application Builder app was designed.
- A required feature is missing: Ask whether the app depends on Windows-specific functionality. If it does, use the Windows Client on a compatible desktop rather than expecting the Android browser to provide that capability.
