Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo protect your privacy with Pinger, first decide whether TextFree’s advertising-supported free service fits your needs, limit optional information and permissions, review any third-party privacy feature before submitting data, and save conversations before deleting your account. Pinger’s policies describe collection and retention practices, but they are not an independent security audit; they also make clear that account deletion ends your number and removes messages and media without recovery.
What information does Pinger collect?
Pinger’s US and Canada Privacy Policy groups information as Personal Information, App Data and Share Data. Depending on the product and how you use it, the policy lists identifying and contact details, billing information, IP and device identifiers, timestamps, clickstream and app interactions, advertising interactions, location, cookies, and content or contacts you provide. For communications, it also describes messages and related details such as dates, duration, recipients, size and attachments. Pinger says information is used to operate and improve services, send notices, store or share content at your direction, and deliver advertising. Its stated primary goal is “to provide and improve our products and services.” Pinger US and Canada Privacy Policy
The California privacy notice gives additional category and retention detail, including message content, call detail records, contacts and app feature usage. It says message content is retained indefinitely for active accounts and for six months for inactive accounts; call detail records for two years; contacts while the account is open; and app feature usage for two years. These are statements in Pinger’s California notice, not a guarantee for every Pinger product, location or future policy version. Pinger California privacy notice
Pinger’s notice describes disclosures to back-end providers to enable communications, service providers for support, analytics and alerts, and advertising companies for TextFree advertising. It says its data centers are in the United States and that some EU-based support teams may remotely access account information without storing it. These are Pinger’s disclosures; they do not constitute an independent audit of its systems or practices. Pinger California privacy notice

Does TextFree sell or share my data?
Pinger says information gathered from users, devices and app use may be used for tailored advertising in ad-supported TextFree. Its California notice also describes sharing information with advertising companies. “Share” in that notice should not be read as proof that every data category is disclosed to every advertiser; consult the current policy for the categories and purposes Pinger describes. Pinger Privacy Policy
Pinger describes TextFree Plus as including an advertising-free feature. That is not a promise of zero data collection or processing: information may still be needed to provide communications and other service functions. If fewer advertising exposures are important to you, compare the paid feature with the free ad-supported service, and check the current price and plan terms in the app or app store; no price is established here. How to reduce the information you share
- Choose the exact Pinger app first. Read the current Pinger policy and the terms for the specific app you intend to use. The broad policy covers multiple Pinger products, while products may differ in features and paid options. Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions
- Decide whether the ad-supported model is acceptable. If you use free TextFree, account for Pinger’s disclosure that app, device and usage information may be used for advertising. TextFree Plus is described as ad-free, not data-free. Pinger Privacy Policy
- Share less where you can. Avoid adding optional sensitive details and review whether the app needs the permissions you grant. Pinger lists data categories such as device, location, contacts and message-related information, but its policy does not provide a reliable permission-by-permission setup procedure. Check the current TextFree and operating-system settings rather than relying on a generic path.
- Pause before using a privacy scan or similar feature. Pinger’s terms say privacy features are provided by a third-party service provider and direct users to Array’s separate privacy policy. Before entering identifiers, check what the feature requests and read the provider’s notice. The terms do not establish that this feature is available to every app version, user or region, or that it removes all personal information. Pinger Terms and Conditions
How do I request my personal information or delete my Pinger account?
Pinger’s California privacy notice describes access and deletion requests through the relevant app or account process. It says requests must be verified. The notice also says deleting personal information requires terminating the account because Pinger cannot provide the services without that information; legal exceptions may allow some records to be retained. Rights and procedures can vary by jurisdiction, so consult the current notice for your location. Pinger California privacy notice and Pinger: How can I manage my Personal Information?
Use Pinger’s current in-account process for a request. Before you submit a deletion request, save anything you may need: Pinger says deletion ends the account and Pinger number, and removes messages, voicemail and media without recovery. Pinger also warns that deleting the account may not cancel a subscription used with TextFree Web; check your current plan and the applicable app-store billing instructions separately. Can I get my TextFree messages back after deleting my account?
Pinger says messages, voicemail and media deleted with the account cannot be recovered. It also says there is no dedicated download or export feature for texts, call history or voicemails. For conversations you want to keep before deletion, its documented workaround is to log in to TextFree Web and copy conversations into a document. That guidance supports manual copying of conversations; it does not promise an export of attachments or every account record. Pinger: How to save messages or conversations
