The Malwarebytes Forums’ “Suspicious files – Resolved Malware Removal Logs” area contains records of past users’ malware-removal cases. A thread can show what someone reported, which diagnostic logs or scan results were shared, and how forum helpers responded—but it is not a diagnosis or a current removal recipe for another device. For a suspicious file on your own Windows or Mac computer, use Malwarebytes’ current file-scanning guidance or submit a suspected malicious sample for review.
What the resolved-log threads are—and are not
These threads are historical case records. For example, a 2010 post concerns a user-reported detection involving wwwzuc32.exe; a 2012 thread documents a case titled Vista Home Security 2012 Virus. The pages illustrate the kinds of symptoms and follow-up that may appear in a malware-removal discussion, including diagnostic-log attachments and replies about a reported detection.
Those details belong to the original cases. The threads date from 2010 and 2012, and their operating systems, software versions, and circumstances may not match a current device. Do not treat a filename, old scan result, or archived instruction as proof that your computer has the same infection. In particular, do not run scripts or tools from an old post, disable antivirus protection, or delete a file simply because its name looks suspicious.
How to check a suspicious file on your device
Malwarebytes’ current Help Center says Windows and Mac users can scan a specific file or folder, review the resulting report, and quarantine detections. Follow the current instructions in Scan a file or folder with Malwarebytes; do not rely on steps copied from an old forum case.

A detection merits review, not an automatic decision to restore or permanently remove the file. Malwarebytes’ guidance explains how to manage quarantined items and limits restoring or allow-listing an item to files you recognize and trust. When to submit a sample or ask for help
If you want Malwarebytes to examine a suspected file
Malwarebytes directs users who suspect a file, website, or phishing link is malicious to its Forums Research Center. Its Help Center article describes packaging the file and opening a forum topic: Submit a phishing link, malicious website, or file to Malwarebytes. This is a sample-submission route, distinct from scanning a file locally or getting help with ongoing symptoms.

If suspicious behavior continues after a scan
If problems persist, Malwarebytes’ guidance is to seek Support and provide diagnostic logs. Its Is my device infected? article outlines that support route. A resolved forum thread may offer context about how another case unfolded, but it cannot establish what is happening on your machine.
If Support requests troubleshooting logs
The Malwarebytes Support Tool can generate troubleshooting logs for an existing support ticket. The Help Center describes it as a free troubleshooting utility in its Support Tool FAQs. Use it for the support process rather than treating it as a substitute for a malware scan or sample submission.
