The redesigned high-end MacBook Pro could arrive between late 2026 and early 2027, according to reports. More recent coverage suggests Apple may reveal it in October or November 2026, but that is a possible announcement window—not a confirmed release date. Apple has not announced the redesign in the newsroom material checked as of October 3, 2026.
When is the redesigned MacBook Pro expected?
Current reporting places the high-end redesigned MacBook Pro somewhere between the end of 2026 and early 2027. MacRumors, citing Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, reported on August 10 that the OLED models could arrive in that broader window, while also describing October as a possible month for a separate MacBook Pro announcement. A July 1 report had placed the redesign in the first half of 2027 and noted that its timing was unclear. Taken together, those reports point to a window, not a settled schedule. MacRumors, August 10, 2026; MacRumors, July 1, 2026.
A possible October or November reveal should not be treated as a guaranteed date when the computer will go on sale. Apple has not confirmed either the redesign or its timing in the Mac newsroom index consulted for this article.

Apple’s August 25 announcement confirms that M6 debuted in Mac mini, but it does not establish that an M6 MacBook Pro is coming or when it might arrive. Apple’s August 25, 2026 announcement.
What features are reported—and what remains unknown
Coverage describes the high-end redesign as having OLED touch displays and a new or slimmer design. These are reported expectations, not specifications Apple has confirmed. The reports cited here do not establish a price, exact thickness, battery life, or other detailed hardware changes, so those should not be treated as known.

The reports do not support a universal recommendation. Make the choice based on how soon you need a computer, whether a currently available configuration can handle your work, and how much the possibility of an OLED touch display and a changed design matters to you.
