Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Cot is a batteries-included web framework for Rust, built on axum. It brings common application pieces—including an ORM, migrations, admin tools, typed forms, templates, and JSON/OpenAPI support—into one framework rather than asking developers to assemble each part themselves. That may suit teams building full web applications who value integrated conventions; developers who want to choose every component independently may prefer a more modular approach.
What Cot includes
Cot describes its API as influenced by Django, while using axum as its foundation. The goal is to pair Rust’s type system with an integrated set of tools for building web applications. The project’s feature list includes:
- An ORM and automatic database migrations
- An admin panel
- Templates and views, with type-safe APIs
- Typed forms
- JSON API support, including OpenAPI documentation and Swagger UI
- Security-oriented features and defaults
The official Cot site illustrates models and queries expressed with Rust types, forms derived from typed structs, and JSON routes that can expose API documentation. These are project-described capabilities, not independent evaluations of how well they perform in a particular application.
How to get started
The Cot repository README documents this basic path. It assumes Rust is installed; use the guide appropriate to the Cot version you install.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Install the Cot command-line tool with
cargo install cot-cli. - Create a project with
cot new my_project. - Enter the new project directory with
cd my_project. - Start the application with
cargo run.
The README recommends installing the CLI through Cargo because community-maintained operating-system packages may lag behind the official release. The commands above are the README’s documented quick start, not a claim of independent testing.
Which Cot version and guide to use
As of July 13, 2026, the latest Cot version listed on both docs.rs and the GitHub releases page is 0.7.0. That date identifies the listings checked; it is not a guarantee of compatibility or support duration. Check the current release listings when installing.

- 5-in-1 USB-C Hub: Experience comprehensive connectivity featuring a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. (Note: The USB-C power delivery input port is only for connecting an external wall charger to power your laptop and cannot power peripheral devices.)
- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)
- Quick Data Transfers: Accelerate your productivity with rapid data transfers using a high-speed 5Gbps USB 3.0 port and two 480Mbps USB 2.0 ports.
- 4K HDMI Display: Enhance your visual experience with a hub capable of delivering 4K resolution at 30Hz in both mirror and extend modes. Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Pay particular attention to documentation version labels. Cot’s framework-comparison page is under the master guide path and says it documents an unreleased version. Do not assume its details match Cot 0.7.0; use documentation that corresponds to the version you are installing.
How to decide whether Cot fits your project
The central choice is integration versus modularity. Cot’s bundled tools can reduce the number of separate framework decisions for a full-featured application, while a modular stack gives a team more freedom to select its own database layer, admin solution, and other components.

- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- Consider Cot if you want an axum-based framework with built-in conventions and expect to use several of its included features, such as migrations, admin, forms, or API documentation.
- Compare modular options if you want to assemble the stack yourself or need control over which libraries provide each application layer.
- Check the actual release documentation before relying on a specific API or feature, especially when a page is labeled as unreleased-version documentation.
- Seek independent evidence where it matters: the sources cited here do not establish independent performance benchmarks, adoption statistics, or an external security audit.
Cot’s comparison with axum is useful for understanding the project’s own positioning, but it is written by Cot’s authors and refers to unreleased-version documentation. Treat its characterization of Cot as batteries-included and axum as modular as the project’s perspective, not an independent head-to-head assessment.
