Claude Code can add it with one command; Codex can also connect through its remote MCP-server settings. The same article, dated October 2, 2026, reports beta quotas and a per-job frame cap that apply independently.
What JANCTION Render is—and what it is not
The operator describes JANCTION Render as a cloud GPU service for rendering AI-written scenes and existing Blender .blend files through an MCP-compatible client. JANCTION Render is separate from Render.com. Render.com’s MCP documentation concerns a different hosted platform, so its commands, permissions and service terms do not establish how JANCTION Render works.
The setup and quota details below are operator-reported information from October 2, 2026, rather than independently tested or independently verified technical documentation. Check the live endpoint and current JANCTION operator documentation before relying on any limit.
Connect Claude Code to JANCTION Render
Claude Code must support adding a custom remote HTTP MCP server. In a shell, run:

claude mcp add --transport http janction-render https://render.janction.jp/mcp
The command names the server janction-render, selects HTTP transport and points Claude Code at the operator-listed endpoint. After adding it, use Claude Code’s MCP/server inspection commands or interface to confirm that the server is available before submitting a render.
Connect Codex to JANCTION Render
Codex can connect to the same endpoint when its MCP configuration supports a custom remote server:

| Limit | Operator-reported value | How it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Per-key daily quota | 10 GPU-minutes per key per day | Usage charged to an individual key during the daily period |
| Per-network daily quota | 20 GPU-minutes per network per day | A network-wide ceiling in addition to the key ceiling |
| Per-job size | 240 frames at 1080p | Maximum reported frame count for one job at 1080p |
These are different checks. Staying below the frame cap does not remove the GPU-minute quotas, and having unused daily GPU minutes does not permit a job above the 240-frame, 1080p cap.
What happens after quota is exhausted
The article says an over-quota request is rejected with HTTP status 429 and error code quota_exceeded. The response includes a resets_at field. The rejected job is not held in a queue for automatic execution after the quota resets, so you must submit it again later.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
When the daily quota resets
The reported reset time is 00:00 UTC, which is 09:00 Japan Standard Time. A request rejected before that boundary remains rejected; splitting one render into smaller jobs does not increase the daily allowance.
Practical planning before you submit a render
- Confirm that your client can use a custom remote MCP server and that the endpoint is reachable.
- Check the job’s frame count and resolution against the reported 240-frame-at-1080p cap.
- Estimate GPU-minute consumption so it fits both the 10-minute per-key and 20-minute per-network daily ceilings.
- Record the key and network context used for the request; changing only the job split will not raise the stated quota.
- If the service returns
429withquota_exceeded, readresets_at, wait for the reset, and submit the job again.
Remote MCP safety considerations
Connecting an AI coding client to a remote MCP server gives that server a place in the client’s tool chain. Review the tools and permissions shown by your client before approving actions, keep credentials out of prompts, and avoid granting broader access than the render workflow needs.
Best Value

Render.com’s official MCP documentation warns that its own server can perform potentially destructive actions such as changing environment variables and triggering deploys, and that it cannot guarantee sensitive information will never be exposed to the AI application. Those warnings are useful general MCP context, not evidence that JANCTION Render exposes the same tools or follows the same security model. No JANCTION-specific permission or data-handling specification was available in the cited material.
Keep JANCTION Render separate from Render.com
Do not use Render.com setup commands, plugins, skills or CLI requirements for JANCTION Render. Render.com’s documentation mentions a CLI-based skills route requiring Render CLI 2.10 or later; that requirement belongs to Render.com and is not a JANCTION prerequisite. For JANCTION, the operator-reported endpoint is the only connection URL established here.
What is confirmed and what still needs checking
- Reported endpoint: https://render.janction.jp/mcp.
- Reported Claude Code command: the HTTP command shown above.
- Reported beta terms on October 2, 2026: free access without signup or a card, subject to the stated quotas.
- Not established by the available material: the current authentication flow, complete Codex syntax, endpoint availability, and whether any quota or frame limit has changed.
Because these are volatile service terms and the available evidence is an operator article rather than accessible primary technical documentation, verify the live service conditions immediately before production use.
