Funtouch OS 15 is vivo’s Android 15-based software for international markets. vivo’s first-wave announcement named the X Fold3 Pro, X100 series and iQOO 12, with upgrades starting in mid-October 2024. That announcement was not a complete eligibility list or a final schedule for every country, carrier or handset variant.
Availability has since been documented for specific models in specific contexts, including a V29 trial update log in India; vivo also lists the X200 FE as shipping with Funtouch OS 15. Neither example establishes eligibility for every phone in a model family. For your exact handset, check Settings > System Update and your local vivo or iQOO support channel.
Which devices were named for Funtouch OS 15?
In its 30 September 2024 announcement, vivo named these models for the initial upgrade wave:

vivo said upgrades would start from mid-October 2024. The announcement identifies the first wave, not every device that may receive the software. It does not provide a complete final stable-update list by region, carrier or exact handset variant. Read vivo’s announcement.

Later official regional examples confirm software availability in narrower contexts. A vivo India community post dated 11 December 2024 published a Funtouch OS 15 update log for the V29, identifying software version PD2283GF_EX_A_15.2.6.10.W30 and describing the release as a trial version. Separately, vivo India lists the X200 FE as shipping with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. A phone that ships with the software is not evidence that older phones in its family are eligible for an upgrade.
When will your phone receive the update?
The only broad schedule established by vivo’s global announcement is that the named first-wave models would begin receiving upgrades from mid-October 2024. It does not give a country-by-country calendar or completion date for all eligible phones. Update delivery may differ by market, SKU, carrier and staged rollout.

There was also an earlier limited preview: a vivo India community post dated 28 August 2024 described an Android 15-based preview program for the X100 Pro. It instructed users to open Settings > System Update > settings icon > Trial version; the preview release was listed for 4 September 2024. A preview program is not the same as a public stable rollout.

Check availability on your handset
- Open Settings on the phone.
- Tap System Update and check whether an update is offered.
- Confirm the exact model and software build shown on the device.
- If no update appears, consult the vivo or iQOO support channel for the phone’s sales region and ask whether the build is a preview, trial or stable release.
A missing update offer does not, by itself, establish whether a model is ineligible: rollout timing and availability can vary. Treat an official listing for your exact model and region as stronger evidence than a general list that groups different variants together.

What is new in Funtouch OS 15?
vivo describes changes to system smoothness and animations, personalization, photography, gaming and productivity. Features named in its global announcement include Priority Scheduling, zRAM-based Memory Enhancement Technology, Origin Animation, Lightning-Speed Engine, Aqua Dynamic Effect, AI Image Lab, Ultra Game Mode, Link to Windows and revised S-Capture tools. vivo says some features are available only on select models, so the feature set on one phone should not be assumed to match another.
Features listed for the V29 update log
The V29 Funtouch OS 15 trial update log in vivo India’s community forum names a more specific set of additions: Circle to Search, Link to Windows, updated wallpapers and home-screen options, AI Photo Enhance, Ultra Game Mode small-window access, S-Capture changes, screen translation, note-export options, Passkey and accessibility features including Live Transcribe. These are details from that V29 log, not a promise that every item is available across the Funtouch OS 15 range. See the V29 update log.

Why eligibility lists can be misleading
A model name alone may not identify the software status of your phone. When checking a claim, compare the exact commercial model or SKU, sales market, carrier or unlocked status, current build, and whether the cited release is a preview, trial or stable version. For features, confirm the specific handset and software version because vivo limits some features to select models.
The available official announcements and regional examples do not establish a comprehensive final stable-device list or rollout completion dates for every region. Avoid treating a crowdsourced list as official eligibility unless the exact model and market can be confirmed through a current regional vivo or iQOO source.
