All use Logitech G’s GL low-profile switches, KEYCONTROL remapping and LIGHTSYNC RGB; the two LIGHTSPEED models add wireless connectivity.
The family is built around a very thin design. Logitech says the G915 X stands 23 mm high, while its support specification lists the TKL at 22.6 mm. GL switches actuate at 1.3 mm, giving the keyboards a shorter key travel feel than conventional-height mechanical boards.
What Logitech launched
The launch lineup contains three physical formats and connection arrangements:
| Model | Format | Connection | Launch price (Europe, 2024) | Availability |

Those were announced European launch prices, not permanent worldwide prices. Logitech’s US product pages list $259.99 for the G915 X LIGHTSPEED and $199.99 for the G915 X Wired; storefront prices and stock can differ by country, date and promotion.

What all G915 X keyboards have in common
- Low-profile GL mechanical switches: Logitech specifies a 1.3 mm actuation point. Linear, tactile and clicky variants are offered where the particular model and market support them.
- KEYCONTROL: Logitech’s remapping system lets you assign actions beyond a key’s default function. The wired product page describes up to 15 functions per key.
- LIGHTSYNC RGB: Per-key lighting effects are controlled through Logitech G software.
- Dedicated controls: The designs include media controls and a volume roller; the wireless full-size page specifies nine programmable G keys.
- Thin construction: Logitech’s 2024 Logi PLAY announcement describes the keyboard as 23 mm high and one of the company’s thinnest low-profile wireless gaming keyboards.
G915 X LIGHTSPEED: the full-size option
The G915 X LIGHTSPEED is the choice when you need a dedicated number pad, navigation cluster and maximum desk controls. It combines Logitech’s LIGHTSPEED dongle connection with Bluetooth and USB, so it can switch between a gaming PC, another Bluetooth device and a wired connection.
Its nine G keys are intended for macros and application commands through KEYCONTROL. That layout is useful for MMO keybinds, streaming scenes or editing shortcuts, but the number pad and wider chassis consume more desk space than the TKL.

G915 X LIGHTSPEED TKL: smaller wireless layout
The TKL removes the number pad while retaining the main navigation and function-key areas. Logitech Support lists these dimensions and specifications:
| Specification | G915 X LIGHTSPEED TKL |
|---|---|
| Width | 368 mm |
| Depth | 150 mm |
| Height | 22.6 mm |
| Weight | 860 g |
| Actuation distance | 1.3 mm ± 0.30 mm |
| Wireless and wired modes | LIGHTSPEED dongle, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB |
| Battery | Up to 42 hours; rechargeable battery is not user replaceable |
Choose the TKL if mouse space and portability matter more than a number pad. Its battery figure is Logitech’s “up to” specification, so actual runtime depends on lighting, connection mode and use.

G915 X Wired: the cable-first alternative
The G915 X Wired keeps the low-profile mechanical design, KEYCONTROL, LIGHTSYNC RGB, nine G keys and 1.3 mm actuation point, but it does not depend on a battery or wireless radio. USB is the only connection, making it the simplest option for a permanent desk setup.
At $199.99 on Logitech’s US product page, it costs less than the wireless full-size model there, although regional pricing and promotions change. It is the practical choice when you do not need Bluetooth or LIGHTSPEED freedom and want to avoid charging.

Switch speed, height and typing feel
1.3 mm actuation
The stated 1.3 mm actuation point is where a keypress is registered. It is not the same as total key travel, and it does not by itself establish a measured response-time advantage over another keyboard. Low-profile caps and switches produce a shorter, flatter feel than standard-height mechanical switches.
Linear, tactile and clicky choices
- Linear: smooth press with no tactile bump, commonly preferred for uninterrupted game inputs.
- Tactile: a physical bump indicates the actuation point and can suit mixed typing and gaming.
- Clicky: adds an audible click as well as tactile feedback; consider shared-workspace noise.
Logitech Support publishes actuation-force ranges for the switch types, but the supplied specifications do not provide a single force value that applies to every model and switch.

Pick the full-size LIGHTSPEED model if:
- You regularly use a number pad.
- You want wireless switching between LIGHTSPEED, Bluetooth and USB.
- You will use the nine G keys for macros, streaming or productivity.
Pick the LIGHTSPEED TKL if:
- You want more mouse room and a narrower keyboard.
- You still need wireless and Bluetooth options.
- You can work without a number pad and accept charging an integrated, non-user-replaceable battery.
Pick the wired model if:
- The keyboard will stay at one desk.
- You do not need wireless or Bluetooth.
- You prefer a direct USB connection and no battery-management routine.
Is the G915 X worth it for gaming or streaming?
The lineup makes the most sense for buyers who specifically want a thin mechanical keyboard, dedicated controls and Logitech’s software ecosystem. LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth add flexibility for gaming and multi-device work, while the G keys and KEYCONTROL can accommodate stream-deck-style commands without a separate keypad.
The trade-offs are equally clear: wireless models cost more at launch, the TKL sacrifices the number pad, and the TKL’s battery is sealed rather than user replaceable. The wired model removes those wireless compromises but also removes wireless convenience. Select the format and connection you will actually use rather than paying for features that will remain disabled.
