iToolab UnlockGo iOS says it supports iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, but the result depends on the lock and iOS version. Removing a forgotten screen passcode erases the iPhone. An Activation Lock bypass is a different process that, according to iToolab, can leave the device without phone calls or cellular data. Apple’s account-recovery and ownership process remains the official route.
First identify which lock you have
“Forgot passcode” and “iPhone Locked to Owner” are not the same problem. The distinction determines whether data can survive and which functions remain available.

Forgotten screen passcode: expect a complete erase
UnlockGo’s screen-unlock page says it can remove 4-digit, 6-digit, custom numeric and alphanumeric passcodes, as well as Touch ID and Face ID locks. Its central warning is more important than the supported lock list: the process erases the device and updates iOS to the latest version.
What to check before starting
- Confirm that you own the iPhone or have the owner present. Do not use bypass software on a device you found or bought without verified ownership.
- Assume that anything not already in an iCloud or computer backup will be lost.
- Make sure you know the Apple Account credentials that will be requested after the erase if Find My is enabled.
- Check the current UnlockGo build and its iOS compatibility before paying; vendor support ranges change with software and iOS releases.
What the process means afterward
This is not a way to reveal or preserve the forgotten passcode. It is an erase-and-set-up-again operation. You will need to complete iPhone setup, sign in when Apple requests the linked account, and restore any available backup. A successful passcode removal therefore does not mean that the original on-device data remains.

Activation Lock: the compatibility claim and its limits
iToolab’s Activation Lock page explicitly names iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Its technical table states that Activation Lock support extends from iPhone 5s through iPhone 17; for iPhone XS through iPhone 17 Pro Max it lists iOS 15.4–26.1, while excluding iOS 18.7.3–18.9.9. These are vendor claims, not an independent compatibility test, so verify the exact model, iOS build and current UnlockGo release before purchase.
Newer iOS claim: 16.4 through 26
For iOS 16.4–26, iToolab says the bypass does not require a jailbreak. It warns that the iPhone can restart or be restored afterward. The claimed result is limited: Wi‑Fi access and App Store downloads with a new Apple Account may work, but phone calls and cellular data will not.

Older iOS claim: 12 through 16.3
For iOS 12–16.3, the vendor’s instructions require a jailbreak. They also warn that restarting or performing a factory reset can make Activation Lock return. That makes this route unsuitable for a phone that must remain dependable after updates, resets or reboots.
Why Apple treats Activation Lock differently
Activation Lock is part of Apple’s Find My security system, not merely a forgotten-password screen. Apple states: “Activation Lock helps to prevent unauthorized users from reactivating an iPad, iPhone, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and Apple Watch if it’s lost or stolen.”

Apple’s activation guidance directs the person at the setup screen toward the original Apple Account credentials or Apple’s account-recovery and support process. That route verifies control of the account or ownership context; a third-party bypass claim should not be presented as equivalent to Apple removing the security association.
Use Apple’s route when
- The iPhone belongs to you and you can recover the original Apple Account.
- You bought it used and the previous owner can remove it from their account.
- The device is managed by an organization and its administrator must release it.
- You need normal cellular service, reliable restarts and future factory resets.
Activation Lock is not carrier unlocking
These statuses are independent. On an iPhone, open Settings > General > About and check Carrier Lock. Apple identifies an unlocked phone with the text No SIM restrictions. An iPhone can have no carrier restriction and still be Activation Locked, or be free of Activation Lock while tied to a carrier.

Apple says the carrier—not Apple—handles unlocking for another network. UnlockGo’s own Activation Lock warning that cellular service may remain unavailable means an apparent bypass is not evidence that the phone is carrier-unlocked.
Data, iCloud and everyday functionality after a bypass

Price and the claims behind it
The iToolab store displayed UnlockGo (iOS) at $35.95 on a promotional plan when checked on September 27, 2026. Prices and plan terms can change, and the research record does not establish whether that displayed amount is recurring or one-time. The product page also advertises a 30-day money-back claim.

iToolab’s page displays “25 M+” downloads, a “99%” success rate and “100%” security. These are the vendor’s marketing assertions, not independently audited measurements or a published success study. A refund promise also does not guarantee that a particular iPhone 17 model, iOS build or lock state will work.
A practical decision guide
Choose Apple support or the owner-account route when
- You need cellular calls and data.
- You want the phone to survive restarts, restores and future updates.
- You can access the original Apple Account or the prior owner can remove the device.
- The iPhone may be lost, stolen, organization-managed or of uncertain origin.
Consider UnlockGo only after checking
- The exact iPhone 17 model and iOS build appear in the current vendor compatibility table.
- You accept a complete erase for a forgotten screen passcode.
- You understand that an Activation Lock bypass may provide Wi‑Fi only, with no calls or cellular data.
- You have evaluated the current price, refund terms and the vendor nature of the performance claims.
Bottom line
UnlockGo may be relevant to an owner who forgot an iPhone 17 screen passcode and has a backup, because iToolab says its process erases the phone and reinstalls the latest iOS. Its separate Activation Lock claim is much more limited: compatibility is version-specific, older versions require a jailbreak, and the newer path can leave the device without cellular service. For a fully functional, ownership-verified iPhone, Apple’s original-account recovery or support process is the safer standard.
