Webshare Proxy Saver is a plan-selection strategy, not a separate proxy product. You reduce spending by matching the proxy class and bandwidth allowance to the workload, validating compatibility on the free tier, using volume or annual pricing only when demand is stable, and changing plans before unused capacity becomes an avoidable expense.
The right choice depends on four variables: whether target sites accept datacenter IPs, whether you need a stable or rotating address, how much data each request transfers, and how many concurrent requests you run. The prices below are displayed Webshare prices captured on September 30, 2026; recheck the provider’s pricing page before purchasing.
What “Proxy Saver” means in practice
Webshare prices different proxy products by different units. Proxy-server and static-residential plans are mainly priced per IP, while rotating residential plans are priced per gigabyte. That distinction determines where savings come from:
- Shared datacenter proxies: the low-cost option for high request volumes when datacenter ranges are accepted.
- Static-residential (ISP) proxies: a higher-cost address associated with an internet service provider, while retaining datacenter-like speed and stability.
- Rotating residential proxies: priced by transferred data and suited to geographic distribution or workflows that need changing IPs.
A cheap proxy becomes expensive if it is blocked, runs out of bandwidth, or cannot provide the geography and rotation your job requires. Saver is therefore an effective-cost decision: price divided by successful, usable work.
#1 Best Overall
Choose the least expensive proxy class that can pass your targets
Shared datacenter for scale
Start with shared datacenter proxies for bulk requests, SEO checks, monitoring, and other jobs where the destination does not reject datacenter networks. Webshare’s displayed monthly prices are $2.99 for 100 proxies, $26.91 for 1,000, $119.60 for 5,000, and $1,076.40 for 60,000. The displayed pricing table shows progressive discounts reaching a stated 40% saving at 60,000 proxies.
Sharing lowers the unit price, but the same IP may have a reputation problem caused by another user. Expect more blocks or CAPTCHAs on heavily protected sites than with an ISP-associated address.
Static-residential/ISP when reputation matters
Static-residential proxies cost more per proxy, but the address is associated with an ISP rather than a hosting provider. Choose this class when a target blocks datacenter ranges, when a session must remain on one IP, or when a stable geographic identity matters. Do not buy it automatically for every request: if datacenter IPs work, the additional cost does not improve the result.
Rotating residential for changing IPs and geography
Rotating residential plans charge by gigabyte. They fit collection jobs that need distributed residential addresses, frequent rotation, or country-level targeting. They can be economical for small transfers, but large HTML pages, images, video, and repeated retries consume the allowance quickly. Estimate transfer volume before comparing a per-GB plan with a per-IP plan.

Use bandwidth as the main cost-control lever
Webshare states that a bandwidth limit applies to the whole plan, resets monthly, and does not roll over. When the allowance is exceeded, proxy operation stops. Consequently, buying a large tier “just in case” wastes money on light workloads, while buying too little can interrupt a production run.

- Used Book in Good Condition
Estimate before selecting a tier
- Measure the average response size for each target, including redirects and any assets your client actually downloads.
- Multiply that size by requests per month, then add retries, pagination, and error handling.
- Separate jobs by proxy class and geography; do not hide a heavy media job inside the same allowance as lightweight API calls.
- Add practical headroom for traffic spikes, but avoid paying for several times your measured requirement.
For unpredictable, high-transfer workloads, unlimited bandwidth can simplify budgeting. Webshare defines an unlimited-bandwidth proxy as one where the provider does not meter or charge based on the amount of transferred data. Metered plans are usually the better value for light or predictable traffic.

Validate targets with the free tier before committing
Webshare’s Help Center article dated October 4, 2024 says the free plan includes 10 datacenter proxies and up to 1 GB of bandwidth per month, with no expiration. Use it as a compatibility test, not production capacity. Shared free IPs may already be blocked by some sites.

- Record success rate, response size, latency, blocks, and CAPTCHA frequency.
- Repeat at the request rate your paid job will use; a single successful request proves little.
- Move to ISP or rotating residential only if the target’s behavior justifies the added cost.
When annual or volume discounts actually save money
Annual billing lowers the displayed monthly equivalent, and larger proxy counts lower the displayed unit price. Commit only after measuring at least one realistic billing cycle. An annual plan is a poor Saver decision when traffic is seasonal, a project may end, or the required geography may change. Likewise, a 5,000-IP plan is not cheaper in practice if you use 600 addresses and cannot reallocate the remainder.
For a stable fleet, compare total annual spend with the monthly alternative, then account for the value of flexibility. Keep a written forecast of proxies, bandwidth, and months of use rather than choosing solely from the largest percentage discount.

Changing plans without losing all remaining value
Webshare says an edited subscription credits unused time and bandwidth toward the replacement plan. The credit is limited by whichever resource has less remaining. For example, substantial calendar time does not create a large credit if most bandwidth has already been consumed. Editing also resets the bandwidth cycle and billing cycle.
A safer edit procedure
- Check remaining days and remaining bandwidth immediately before editing.
- Calculate the credit using the smaller remaining resource, not the one that looks larger.
- Choose the replacement count, proxy type, geography, and bandwidth together.
- Confirm that the new cycle date and allowance match your accounting period.
- Retest credentials and endpoints after the change.
Keeping proxy type, country allocation, and count unchanged can preserve existing proxies when you only need additional bandwidth or features.
Decision guide by workload
| Workload | Starting choice | Upgrade trigger | Main cost risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small SEO checks | Shared datacenter | Target blocks datacenter ranges | Paying for residential IPs unnecessarily |
| High-volume scraper | Shared datacenter with measured bandwidth | Transfer is high or unpredictable | Bandwidth exhaustion stopping the job |
| Price tracking across countries | Rotating residential where location and rotation are essential | Pages are too large for the GB allowance | Retries and assets inflating transfer |
| Session-sensitive automation | Static-residential/ISP | Stable sessions are not required | Buying persistence you do not use |
Performance, reliability, and vendor claims
Webshare’s pricing page displays 100+ Gbps aggregate network capacity and 99.97% uptime. These are vendor claims, not independent test results. Your effective performance still depends on target-site throttling, IP reputation, request concurrency, geography, and response size. Measure your own success rate and latency from the regions where the workload runs.
Keep concurrency proportional to the plan
- Increase concurrency gradually and watch timeouts and HTTP blocks.
- Throttle retries; repeated failures can consume bandwidth without producing useful data.
- Cache responses you are allowed to cache, and avoid downloading unnecessary assets.
- Track bandwidth per URL and per job so one noisy target cannot consume the plan.
Troubleshooting common cost failures
The proxy stops during a run
Likely cause: the plan-wide monthly bandwidth limit was reached. Confirm usage, reduce response size and retries, then move to a larger or unlimited allowance if the measured workload warrants it.
Free proxies work inconsistently
Shared free IPs may be blocked. Test another IP and target, then use paid datacenter or residential proxies only when the block is systematic.
Rank #4
A residential plan costs more than expected
Rotating residential billing follows transferred gigabytes. Inspect page size, images, redirects, retries, and concurrency; the number of requests alone is not a cost estimate.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsA plan edit produced little credit
The credit is constrained by the resource with less remaining. Review both remaining time and bandwidth, and remember that editing resets the bandwidth and billing cycles.
Annual pricing is not saving money
Compare actual months of use and consumed capacity with the annual commitment. A displayed monthly equivalent is not a saving if the service is idle for part of the year.

FAQ
Does unused Webshare bandwidth roll over?
No. The stated bandwidth limit resets monthly and does not roll over.
Recommended Free Tools
Is unlimited bandwidth always the cheapest option?
No. It can make high or uncertain transfer easier to budget, while a metered tier is generally cheaper for light, predictable traffic.
Which proxy type is best for scraping?
Use shared datacenter proxies when targets accept them; move to ISP or rotating residential when blocking, session requirements, or geographic distribution justify the extra spend.
