There is no single Roblox admin-command list that works in every experience. Roblox experiences use different admin systems, including HD Admin, Kohl’s Admin Infinite, Adonis Admin, Basic Admin Essentials, or a custom script. Each system can use its own prefix, aliases, rank requirements, and command names.
This guide covers documented commands for HD Admin and Kohl’s Admin Infinite, explains how to identify the system in a game, and shows what to check when a command does nothing. A command listed here will work only when that system is installed, the experience has not changed its configuration, and your account has sufficient permission.
How Roblox admin commands work
Admin commands are provided by an experience’s administrator system—not by Roblox globally. The developer decides which system to install and can change its prefix, ranks, aliases, and command availability.
For example, HD Admin normally uses a semicolon: ;kick PlayerName. Kohl’s Admin Infinite uses a colon: :kick PlayerName. Typing ;kick in a game running Kohl’s, or :kick in an HD Admin game, can fail even though both systems support a kick command.

How to identify the admin system
- In the experience chat, send !prefix.
- If a popup appears in the upper-right titled HD Admin, the game is using HD Admin.
- If there is no HD Admin popup, send prefix as a normal chat message.
- A Kohl’s Admin Infinite popup identifies Kohl’s. If neither produces a result, the experience may use another system—or no admin system.
This test is not a guarantee for heavily customized installations. The game’s own help command or interface is the final authority.
Common target selectors
Many admin systems accept shortcuts instead of a complete username. The exact selectors vary, but these are common:

A partial username may work if it identifies exactly one person. Avoid partial names in a crowded server: an ambiguous name can fail or select the wrong player. Use the full displayed username where possible.

HD Admin’s default prefix is ;. Press the apostrophe key (‘) to open its command-entry box, type the command, and press Enter. The interface includes a Search HD Admin commands… field and a Filter by Rank… control.

The documented rank filters are Non Admin (Default), VIP, Mod, Admin, Head Admin, and Owner. The experience creator can change rank assignments or configuration.

These are useful commands to run first. The referenced command table lists them as available to the default non-admin rank.

The following commands and syntax are documented for HD Admin. The permission column is the rank shown in the reference table, not a promise that every game uses the same rank configuration.

HD Admin references also document commands such as ;insert <assetID>. Asset commands can be restricted by ownership, availability, or the game’s implementation; the referenced HD Admin documentation specifically limits this command to an asset owned by Roblox or the game owner.

The command table specifically marks :minihead Player as potentially unreliable. A command appearing in a help list is not proof that it works in every current game or configuration.
Installing HD Admin in your own experience
If you are the experience developer, inserting an admin model is only part of the process. You must save and publish the experience afterward.

- Open the Roblox catalog page for the desired HD Admin plugin or model and click Get.
- Open the experience in Roblox Studio.
- If Toolbox is hidden, choose View > Toolbox.
- In Toolbox, select the Inventory tab.
- Use the dropdown beside the search box and select My Models.
- Select the admin model or plugin to insert it into the experience.
- Check the inserted model in the Explorer window.
- Save and publish the experience.
Publishing does not automatically make every player an administrator. The system’s rank and permission settings still control which commands each player can use.
Why a Roblox admin command is not working

Command counts are not a reliable definition of a “complete” list. The currently indexed HD Admin reference at RobloxPlot contains 187 commands, while a snapshot at Bloxodes lists 158. Differences can result from version, configuration, aliases, or the particular installation being indexed. The running game’s ;commands or ;cmds output is more authoritative than a third-party count.

Are Roblox admin commands built into every game?
No. Admin commands come from an admin system installed and configured by the experience developer. The player must also have permission to use the command.

Why does ;cmds not work?
;cmds is an HD Admin alias for ;commands; it is not a universal Roblox command. The experience may use Kohl’s, another admin system, a custom prefix, or no admin system.
Can any player use admin commands?
Usually not. Commands are assigned to ranks. In the documented tables, basic information commands may be available to default players, while actions such as banning, teleporting, inserting assets, or granting admin access require higher ranks.
