Hostinger Connector links supported coding tools and AI assistants to actions in a Hostinger account. It is designed to do more than publish a website: the advertised tasks also include domain and DNS work, VPS actions, store management, email marketing, and billing. But the available product materials are vendor descriptions and demonstrations, not an independently observed deployment test. That distinction matters if you are deciding whether to trust it with a live project.
What Hostinger Connector does
Connector is an integration between supported coding workspaces or AI assistants and selected account operations. Hostinger presents a workflow in which you ask an assistant to take an action, then review the result. Its examples include deploying a project and connecting a domain; the Cursor plugin documents a broader set of workflows.
For the Cursor plugin, the documented areas include hosting, WordPress, agency hosting, domains, DNS, billing, email marketing, ecommerce, and VPS servers. The repository also lists deployment of static, Node.js, PHP, and WordPress assets, plus Git auto-deploy, environment variables, databases, troubleshooting, migration, and account audits. These specifics describe the Cursor plugin implementation; they should not be assumed to apply identically to every supported client.
Hostinger also reported that projects outside traditional website categories made up fewer than 4% of projects created on its platform a year before its August 2026 announcement, compared with nearly one in five at the time of the announcement. Those are company-reported figures, not independently verified market statistics. In the same announcement, vice president of product Auksė Žirgulė described the direction as enabling an assistant to do more than generate a homepage, including opening a store, creating user management, and helping attract customers. - Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Is Connector free, and what do you need?
Hostinger says Connector is free to install, but using it to manage a service requires the corresponding active plan—for example, the relevant hosting or VPS service. Free installation does not mean that hosting, a VPS, or other account services are free. The product overview lists VS Code, Cursor, Antigravity, Claude Code, Codex, Devin, and other coding tools or agents; supported clients and setup details can vary by integration. How setup works
The general flow Hostinger describes is installation, browser sign-in, and then asking the assistant to perform an action. Hostinger says the basic flow does not require manually managing API keys. For the official Cursor plugin, the repository documents additional requirements and authentication behavior:

- Install the Cursor plugin. Follow the plugin repository’s instructions for adding its MCP servers, skills, rules, agent, and command to Cursor.
- Check the runtime requirement. The Cursor plugin requires Node.js 20 or newer available on PATH because its MCP servers run through
npx. - Sign in when prompted. On the first account action, the documented Cursor flow uses OAuth 2.0 browser sign-in and stores credentials locally.
- Use an API token only if appropriate. The repository describes a token as an optional route for CI, scripting, or shared machines; if a token is set, it takes precedence over OAuth credentials.
- Request an operation and inspect the result. Hostinger’s stated workflow is to ask the assistant to act and review what it returns. Do not treat an assistant’s response as a substitute for checking the account or live site.
Those Node.js and token details apply to the Cursor plugin documentation, not automatically to every Connector client. Hostinger’s Cursor plugin repository.
Can it deploy a real website?
The product page illustrates an assistant deploying a portfolio, connecting a domain, and showing SSL active; the Cursor plugin repository lists deployment workflows for several project types. This establishes the intended capability and vendor’s demonstration, but it does not establish deployment reliability under independent testing. The published materials do not provide a reproducible test, measured deployment time, or observed failure rate. No independent deployment result is established here, so claims about how reliably or quickly it will publish a particular project would go beyond the available evidence.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
For an actual evaluation, a useful report would identify the editor and assistant versions, account plan and region, project stack, exact steps, elapsed time, failures, and post-deployment checks such as whether the site loads, the domain resolves, and SSL is active. A successful vendor example is not equivalent to that kind of repeatable test.
What the Cursor plugin cannot access through its documented API
The repository identifies several limits for its API. These are specific to the documented API/plugin; they should not be read as claims that the same information is unavailable in Hostinger’s control panel or every other interface.

- Raw access logs and PHP error logs remain in hPanel.
- Backups for shared, cloud, and agency websites are not exposed through the API.
- CPU and memory metrics are unavailable for Shared and Cloud plans.
- DNS snapshots are automatically created and can be listed, read, and restored, but cannot be triggered on demand through the documented interface.
These gaps matter if your workflow depends on diagnosing a production error, reviewing a backup, or monitoring resource usage: you may still need to open hPanel or another relevant interface.
Access controls and security considerations
Hostinger says Connector access is scoped, activity can be reviewed, and access can be revoked in account settings. The Cursor plugin repository describes local credential storage and a pre-commit hook intended to block a staged diff containing a literal API token; it also says the hook fails open if it cannot read the diff. These are vendor-documented controls, not evidence of an independent security audit. Treat token handling and local machine access as part of your setup decisions, especially on shared machines or in CI.

- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Who is likely to find it useful?
- Potentially useful: People who already use a supported coding assistant and want to request hosting or account actions without switching immediately to a dashboard for every task.
- Less suitable as a sole operations interface: Teams that need raw logs, certain backups, or plan-specific CPU and memory metrics through the integration, since the documented Cursor API does not expose those.
- Not yet established by the available evidence: Whether it is more reliable, faster, or safer than completing the same work manually in a dashboard, or how consistently it performs across projects, plans, regions, and clients.
Verdict
Hostinger Connector is best understood as an assistant-facing route to selected Hostinger account actions, with a broader documented scope in the Cursor plugin than deployment alone. Installation is described as free, while the service being managed still requires its own plan. The Cursor plugin has concrete runtime and authentication requirements and documented API gaps. Its deployment demonstrations explain what Hostinger intends the workflow to do, but they do not amount to an independent real-world deployment review.
