To upgrade an AI Builder plan, open the AI Builder menu, select Get a plan, choose an available plan, and review the price shown for your account before confirming. If you need only more Agentic-mode AI credits, check AI Credits Usage first: Hostinger offers credit top-ups separately from a plan upgrade.
Upgrade an AI Builder plan
- Open your AI Builder project or its menu.
- Select Get a plan.
- Review the available plans and the upgrade price displayed for your account.
- Choose the plan you want, check the displayed amount and billing terms, then confirm the purchase if they are acceptable.
These are the steps in the Hostinger Help Center guide to upgrading an AI Builder plan. The price shown at checkout can depend on the current offer and your account. The guide does not establish a universal proration rule or guarantee when an upgrade takes effect, so do not assume either; check the terms presented during your purchase.
Decide whether you need a plan upgrade or more AI credits
A plan change makes sense when you need plan-level features as well as, or instead of, additional AI usage. Hostinger lists features such as project or website capacity, email inboxes, ecommerce, support, and included AI credits on its pricing page. Compare the features you will use rather than choosing a tier solely because it is higher.

When a credit top-up may be enough
If your only shortfall is Agentic-mode usage, open AI Credits Usage and review your balance, next reset date, and recent usage before changing plans. Credit use varies with the request and its complexity; it is not a fixed amount per message. Hostinger says top-ups are available without changing your plan.

Hostinger’s Help Center states that “Purchased top-up credits aren’t affected by a plan upgrade.” They remain in the account balance, but they do not reduce the upgrade payment. Unused top-up credits expire three months after purchase. See the upgrade guide and AI credits guide for details.
Manual mode and Agentic mode
The credit top-up choice is relevant to Agentic mode. Hostinger says Manual mode does not use AI credits, so additional credits would not address a Manual-mode website’s needs. The distinction is described on Hostinger’s AI Builder product page.

Check the price and renewal terms before paying
Hostinger’s pricing page displays promotional monthly equivalents alongside upfront term totals and renewal prices; plans are paid upfront. Those amounts, offers, and included features can change. Compare the total due now and the renewal amount shown for your chosen term, then rely on the price and terms in your own account at purchase rather than an old screenshot or a quoted monthly equivalent.
Confirm the hosting requirement separately
An AI Builder project also requires an active compatible hosting plan. Hostinger lists Web, Cloud, and Agency hosting as compatible and VPS as incompatible. Project availability depends on the active plan; Hostinger warns that an expired hosting plan can make a project unavailable, and that cancellation, refund, or failure to renew within the retention period can result in project data deletion. These hosting requirements are separate from the AI Builder plan tier you are upgrading. Check Hostinger’s AI Builder requirements if your project is unavailable or you are unsure whether your hosting plan supports it.

If you meant a hosting upgrade or a website move
Changing the hosting subscription
Changing your hosting plan is a different workflow from upgrading an AI Builder plan. Hostinger’s general hosting-upgrade instructions direct Website Builder users to Billing → Subscriptions. Follow the hosting-specific guidance in the hosting-plan upgrade guide rather than treating it as the AI Builder plan process.
Moving a Manual-mode website
Moving a Manual-mode website between hosting plans involves duplicating the site and handling its preview domain and publishing; it is not a subscription-tier upgrade. Hostinger says store products and store settings are not copied in this workflow. See the site-move guide before proceeding if your goal is to relocate a website.
