The vivo S2 5G has the larger, higher-resolution listed display and a higher typical battery capacity; the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G lists optical image stabilization (OIS) on its main camera, plus separate ultra-wide and macro cameras. Both manufacturers list displays with refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Those specifications show where the phones differ, but they do not establish which has better real-world battery life, photos, gaming performance, or speed.

Specifications are from Samsung India and vivo India. Configurations can vary by market, so check the exact local SKU before buying.
How the displays differ
vivo lists a 6.83-inch AMOLED display at 2800 × 1260, while Samsung lists a 6.7-inch-class Super AMOLED display at 1080 × 2340. That makes the vivo panel larger and gives it more listed pixels. Both are specified for refresh rates up to 120 Hz.
These figures do not establish comparative brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor readability. If display quality is a deciding factor, compare the phones in person under the conditions in which you expect to use them.

Battery capacity and charging
vivo lists a 7050 mAh typical battery and 44 W charging. Samsung lists a 5000 mAh typical battery, but its reviewed India specification page does not state a charging wattage. The larger listed capacity does not prove longer battery life: network conditions, screen brightness, software, and workload all affect endurance.
Rear cameras, selfies, and video
Rear camera setup
Samsung lists a 50 MP main camera with OIS, along with 5 MP ultra-wide and 2 MP macro cameras. vivo lists a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP secondary camera. Samsung’s listed camera set offers distinct ultra-wide and macro options, while OIS is explicitly specified for its main camera. Megapixel counts and camera count alone do not show which phone takes better photos.

Selfies and video recording
Samsung lists a 12 MP front camera and UHD 4K recording at 30 fps. vivo lists a 32 MP front camera and says 4K recording is supported on both front and rear cameras. A higher front-camera resolution does not, by itself, establish better selfie quality; comparable photo and video tests would be needed to judge results.
Software support
Samsung Mobile Press says the Galaxy A27 5G is eligible for up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and six years of security updates. Samsung India lists security-support validity through 31 July 2032 on its product page. Retain the “up to” qualification: this is Samsung’s published commitment for the phone, not a guarantee that every device receives every upgrade on the same date. The reviewed material does not establish a comparable vivo update commitment.

Price difference in India
The vivo India E-Store displayed ₹42,999 for the S2 8GB+128GB listing when checked on 7 October 2026. This is a dated store price, not a durable offer or guaranteed checkout price. The reviewed Samsung India specification page did not show a comparable price, so the available evidence does not support a reliable price difference between the phones.
Before comparing totals, check the same RAM and storage configuration, current seller, warranty terms, and any offer at checkout. Retail prices and stock can change; a price shown elsewhere is only useful as a time-specific snapshot.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the vivo S2 5G if you value its larger, higher-resolution listed display, 7050 mAh typical battery, 44 W charging, or 32 MP front-camera specification.
- Consider the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G if the listed OIS main camera, dedicated ultra-wide and macro cameras, or Samsung’s published software-support commitment matters more to you.
- Compare both directly if you want to decide based on screen visibility, camera results, performance, or endurance. The specifications alone do not settle those real-world questions.
