MyZubster’s central design idea is straightforward: when a recorded observation already answers a question, retrieve that record instead of asking an AI model to recreate it. Nicola Lorenzini’s October 3, 2026 account presents the project as a journey from comic-inspired concepts toward a prototype whose claims can be inspected—not as proof that every illustrated feature is finished or independently verified.
What “evidence first” means in MyZubster
The guiding question is: “How can an AI system distinguish between something that was actually recorded and something that merely sounds plausible?” The proposed answer is to separate stored facts from generated interpretation. If an exact observation exists, the system should return it; generation is reserved for cases where interpretation or synthesis is useful. As Lorenzini puts it, “Because an eloquent answer is not necessarily a grounded answer.”
This distinction matters because a fluent response is not, by itself, evidence that an event or observation was recorded. A retrieval path can point back to stored material, while a generated answer can help explain or combine information. The project describes both as useful, but assigns them different roles.
How the prototype is described
In Lorenzini’s account, a user interacts through Open WebUI with an OpenAI-compatible MyZubster API. An observation is assigned an identifier, persisted, indexed, and made searchable. The system can then take a retrieval or deterministic evidence path through Qdrant and MyZubster evidence; Ollama is used when generation is needed. These are the author’s descriptions of a prototype, not independently verified findings about accuracy, privacy, or security.
#1 Best Overall
- Recorded observation: stored with an identifier so it can be referenced and searched.
- Retrieval: searches indexed material for evidence relevant to a question.
- Deterministic response: returns an established record without asking a model to rewrite it.
- Generation: uses a model when interpretation or synthesis is needed, rather than treating its fluent output as a recorded fact.
A related technical account describes a Python API and Docker-based local environment, persistent observations and local records, Qdrant retrieval, local model execution through Ollama, a Zorgax integration layer, a catalog for creative work, and an internal ledger experiment. It identifies the publicly documented experimental release candidate as v0.1.0-rc2 and says the software is not presented as production-ready.
What development testing revealed
One issue described during development was a mismatch between storage and retrieval: an observation existed in persistent storage but was missing from Qdrant. That is a specific reported finding, not a measurement of how often retrieval systems fail. It illustrates why an evidence-oriented design needs checks across the layers that save, index, and return records.

The design also aims to avoid rewriting an authoritative description when no generation is necessary. The practical boundary is important: retrieval can surface stored evidence, but whether the returned record is complete or appropriate still depends on how the system stores and indexes it.

The comic panels are a narrative device for describing an intended software journey. They are not screenshots of a finished product, nor proof that every depicted capability exists. Daniel Ioni’s related technical account makes the distinction explicit: “A comic can illustrate a milestone, describe an unresolved problem or introduce an ambitious idea.”

The repository presents Nicola’s N4K48 work as a public, interactive pilot and links a comic catalog and provenance metadata. But visual assets do not, on their own, establish technical, scientific, or financial claims. The same separation applies to creative and ledger records: an NFT candidate is not the same thing as a minted NFT, and the experimental ledger is distinct from the repository’s canonical accounting ledger until integration is implemented.
Deployment checkpoint: reported status, not an audit
A project account dated October 4, 2026, reported a working VPS bridge deployment and simulated end-to-end behavior. The collaborators reported HTTP 200 for the local broker health endpoint, HTTP 401 for a public node endpoint without credentials, HTTP 403 for a public administrative endpoint, and HTTP 200 for an authenticated node request. They also reported a healthy updated container and zero unexpected container restarts after deployment.
Those figures describe the project’s reported checkpoint checks; they are not independent audit results or a broad performance study. The account also said a complete authenticated connection with Lorenzini’s independent computer was still pending. A working simulated bridge therefore should not be read as confirmation that the full independent connection had been completed.

MyZubster’s documented prototype is an attempt to make the boundary between recorded evidence and model-generated language visible. The architecture described combines a compatible API, a user interface, retrieval, stored records, and local generation. The development account also identifies a concrete storage-index mismatch and distinguishes experimental implementation from intended capabilities.

What the accounts do not establish is equally important: they do not provide an independent accuracy evaluation, third-party security audit, broad performance study, or proof of production readiness. Nor do comic panels, provenance metadata, or an experimental ledger independently prove ownership, minting, payment, or full decentralization.
