The Razer Naga V3 Pro is a right-handed wireless MMO mouse whose three magnetic side plates change its controls for different games: choose 12 side buttons for MMO commands, six for a more moderate layout, or two for fewer thumb controls. Razer lists up to 23, 17, or 13 programmable buttons, respectively, so the maximum depends on which plate is installed—not every configuration has 23.
What changes when you swap the side plate?
Each plate attaches magnetically and changes the number and arrangement of controls under your thumb. Razer positions the 12-button plate for MMO play, the six-button plate for MOBA and battle royale games, and the two-button plate for FPS games or everyday use. Those are intended uses, not restrictions: you can choose whichever layout suits your games and preferred controls.
| Installed plate | Programmable buttons listed by Razer | Razer’s suggested use |
|---|---|---|
| 12-button | Up to 23 | MMO |
| 6-button | Up to 17 | MOBA and battle royale |
| 2-button | Up to 13 | FPS and everyday use |
The programmable-button totals are Razer’s configuration-specific figures; they include controls beyond the buttons on the side plate. The mouse also supports five onboard profiles, according to Razer Support.
How to change plates
- Gently pull the current magnetic side plate away from the mouse.
- Align the 12-, 6-, or 2-button plate and snap it into place.
Razer describes the plates as interchangeable magnetic attachments; its support FAQ provides these swap instructions.

Who is the Naga V3 Pro suited to?
It makes the most sense for someone who wants a dense MMO-style control layout but also values the option to reduce thumb buttons when playing other genres. The 12-button plate offers the most side controls; the six- and two-button versions make the layout less crowded. If you do not need multiple side-button layouts, the central feature may matter less than it would to a multi-genre player.
It is a right-handed mouse. Its approximate dimensions are 118.8 × 75.5 × 43.5 mm, and its approximate weight is 117 g without the cable and dongle, according to Razer Support. These measurements can help you judge whether its shape and size suit your setup, but they do not establish comfort for any particular hand or grip.

How can you connect and charge it?
Razer lists three connection options: HyperSpeed Wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB, using the included USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable. The mouse can be used without an optional charging dock. For wireless charging, Razer says the Mouse Dock Pro and HyperFlux V2 are compatible and sold separately; see its US product page and Brazilian specifications page for product details.

Razer’s published battery estimates differ
Razer’s August 11, 2026 newsroom announcement gives up to 155 hours on HyperSpeed Wireless or 280 hours on Bluetooth. Its Support article, updated September 3, 2026, instead gives up to 150 hours on HyperSpeed Wireless and 300 hours on Bluetooth. Both are manufacturer estimates, not independently measured results, and the official sources do not reconcile the difference. Check the current support information before relying on either figure.

What to weigh before choosing it
- Choose by layout, not headline button count. The 23-button maximum applies to the 12-button plate; the other plates have different programmable-button totals.
- Consider your game mix. The included six- and two-button plates let you change the thumb layout, but the mouse remains a right-handed design.
- Treat charging accessories as optional extras. Wireless charging requires a separately sold compatible accessory; wired and wireless connection modes are also listed.
- Read performance numbers as specifications. Sensor ratings, polling rate, and switch lifecycle figures are Razer’s published claims, not independent comparative results.
