Google Tensor G4 leads in the cited overall benchmark results, but those scores do not establish a universal winner over Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The figures come from different publishers, benchmark versions and test setups—not a controlled, same-version comparison of identified phones. For a useful comparison, separate CPU scores from overall scores and treat each result as evidence about the tested device, not every phone with that chip.
At a glance: what the comparison establishes
| Chipset | Graphics processor identified by NanoReview | Example phone documented by a manufacturer |
|---|---|---|
| Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 | Adreno 730 | Not stated in the cited manufacturer source; Geekbench lists individual Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone entries such as Motorola Edge X30 and Sony Xperia 1 IV. |
| Google Tensor G4 | Mali-G715 MP7 | Google Pixel 9 family. Google identifies Tensor G4 as the processor in Pixel 9 family specifications. |
The graphics pairings are reported in NanoReview’s chipset comparison. Google’s Pixel hardware specifications document Tensor G4 in the Pixel 9 family. These sources establish useful identifiers and an example host device, not a complete official specification sheet for both chips.
Benchmark results: read each score in context
The cited comparisons put Tensor G4 ahead in the reported overall and single-core results. However, the AnTuTu numbers come from separate sources and are not directly interchangeable: NanoReview specifies AnTuTu 11, while 91mobiles’ cited AnTuTu result does not establish the same version in the captured information. Neither comparison establishes results from a controlled, same-version test of named phones.

| 91mobiles, AnTuTu (version not established in the cited information) | 1,400,792 | 993,826 | 91mobiles lists these scores for the chip comparison. Do not rank them directly against NanoReview’s AnTuTu 11 figures. |

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Why benchmark scores do not settle the winner
Different benchmark versions measure different runs
AnTuTu 11 results should be compared with other AnTuTu 11 results gathered under comparable conditions. A score from a different or unspecified AnTuTu version cannot be treated as part of the same ranking. The same caution applies to CPU benchmarks when version and test conditions are not identified.
A phone is part of the result
Benchmarks run on complete phones, not on a chipset in isolation. Device implementation and test conditions can affect the result. Geekbench’s Android benchmark chart shows named entries such as Google Pixel 9 Pro with Tensor G4 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones including Motorola Edge X30 and Sony Xperia 1 IV. These are results for individual submitted devices, not a lab-isolated measure of either chip.

Overall scores are not the same as CPU or graphics performance
An overall system score combines more than one kind of work. It should not be used as a substitute for a CPU single-core score, a CPU multi-core score or a graphics test. The cited figures provide an AnTuTu comparison and a single-core score listing, but they do not establish a controlled graphics comparison or a comparable multi-core result. A workload-specific verdict on those areas would go beyond the evidence.

Which chipset looks better for your use?
- For the cited overall benchmark results: Tensor G4 scores higher in both publisher comparisons presented here. Keep the separate AnTuTu sources distinct, because their versions and conditions are not established as equivalent.
- For CPU single-core performance: the 91mobiles listing favors Tensor G4, but the cited information does not provide enough version and test detail to make it a definitive same-device comparison.
- For graphics, sustained speed or efficiency: the available cited figures do not establish a winner. The identified graphics processors alone do not prove which chip performs better in a particular game or under sustained load.
- When comparing actual phones: look for results from the exact handset models and benchmark versions you care about. The Pixel 9 is one documented Tensor G4 example; submitted results from other phones should not be generalized to every device using either chipset.
Specification limits to keep in mind
The cited chipset comparison identifies Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with Adreno 730 graphics and Tensor G4 with Mali-G715 MP7 graphics. It is a comparison-source summary, not a complete independently verified specification table. The available evidence here does not substantiate a detailed comparison of process node, peak clocks, modem, thermal behavior or power efficiency, so those specifications are not inferred from benchmark scores.
