To add Figma’s remote MCP endpoint to an OpenCode project, run opencode mcp add figma --url https://mcp.figma.com/mcp, then check it with opencode mcp list. This configures OpenCode to use the endpoint; it does not guarantee access. Figma says its hosted server accepts only clients listed in its MCP Catalog, and the available documentation does not establish whether OpenCode is currently eligible.
Add the remote server in OpenCode

From your project, run
opencode mcp add figma --url https://mcp.figma.com/mcp. This uses Figma’s published remote MCP endpoint. To make the server available across projects, add--globalto the command. See OpenCode’s MCP server documentation. -
Run

If its status is

For this URL-only setup, the CLI is the direct route. OpenCode also supports manual remote-server configuration under mcp.servers, using type: "remote" and an absolute url. Remote endpoints use Streamable HTTP. Optional OAuth settings, headers, and disabled status are available, but are not needed for the basic configuration.
Check whether Figma allows the connection
A successful OpenCode configuration is not the same as an authorized connection to Figma. Figma’s remote-server instructions say only clients listed in its MCP Catalog can connect to the hosted server. The documentation reviewed does not confirm OpenCode’s current listing or approval, so check Figma’s live remote server requirements and MCP Catalog before relying on the hosted setup. Figma directs developers building another client to contact their account team about registration.

If the client is not accepted, the CLI command alone cannot resolve that restriction. Confirm current eligibility and account access with Figma rather than assuming that successful local configuration means the service is available.

Figma’s desktop workflow is separate from the remote URL command: enable the local server in the desktop app, then configure its resulting local address in the MCP client. See Figma’s desktop-server setup instructions.

What Figma says the server can do
Figma describes its MCP server as providing agents with structured design context, including components, variables, layout data, FigJam content, and Make resources. Its documentation also describes generating code from selected frames and writing native content to the Figma canvas. These are Figma-described capabilities, not independently verified results for OpenCode. See Figma’s MCP server introduction.
